It was well outside the city of Peterborough which for us was a good feature as it isn't particularly appealing. However, there are some delightful places within a reasonable drive from the hotel to be highly recommended. We made a day trip to Stamford (9 miles) which as no. 1 on a list of recommendations and we spent a delightful day there. It is a beautiful town, gorgeous architecture and rows of attractive, independent shops. It was one of the most delightful towns we have visited. There is a market on Friday and Saturday and plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. Burleigh House and gardens are there too as an added attraction.

Pleasant location.
Pleasant location. Needs upgrading with auto door key cards so two people in a room can have one each. Needs better staffing at night so some one is contactable in emergency. Rooms could have better amenities like a mini fridge in room.
Staff could do with being a little more helpful and not make feel everything an inconvience at times.
Customer service not great in accepting feedback.
Restaurant ran out of many items on menu in early part of evening ( and want busy)
Breakfast times seemed understaffed.
Previous reviews were good, so sincereky disappointed

Ideal location for touring the area.
Ideal location for touring the area. We had dinner on our first night there but found it a little bit expensive but decided to treat ourselves, I personally found it a bit difficult to find something that I would like but I had the cod loin which was lovely. Lovely atmosphere and would definitely recommend this place to stay

We have stayed here on a number of occasions. The staff are always very friendly and extremely helpful and the cooked breakfast excellent. We very much like the proximity of the pub to the accommodation. The pub has a very inviting, old-fashioned design with lots of nooks and crannies. There's an extensive evening menu. There's also a very spacious garden.
I was very pleased to find that the covid precautions were being very carefully adhered to

The village pubs were great, very accommodating during these Covid times. We had a breakfast at a small cafe, had nibbles at the 3 Acres and then ate at Harveys on the Saturday evening - the food was great.
Keen walkers so we walked most of the time, up to Emley Moor and then into the village to watch some local cricket. The villages are all near enough to have a little walk however on the Saturday evening, Ubers were available which were great.

From the moment we turned the corner to this property it looked fab.And we wernt dissapointed. What a lovely welcoming property. Check in was swift and the staff were very good .
The room was opposite the property in a lovely cottage no 15 . Everything from start to finish was perfect .
Quiet location and peaceful. The cottage was clean, warm and cosy. We booked the Little Badger Cottage for a relaxing post Christmas break in January and the property was everything we had hoped for. The personal touches on arrival (mainly the bottle of wine) were also appreciated. The owner even went above and beyond in posting a pair of earrings that my partner had forgotten to take home! Highly recommend property.
Everything as thought of by the host to make my stay comfortable. And as a bonus, the house was nicely decorated with Christmas decorations, and there were even mince pies in the kitchen :-)! Great location, with a supermarket and a wine bar very close by, and right by the bus stop. WiFi was also very good.
The house is more spacious than I expected. Everything is well appointed, comfortable and useful furniture, well equipped kitchen, lovely bedrooms, loads of space to park outside on the street. It is far from anywhere, but I like that in a holiday cottage! And the views from the back are delightful.
We were in a separate building to the hotel and our room overlooked a stream and woodland paths and had everything we needed. As we were only there for one night the only meal we had was breakfast which was really lovely.
