Everyone was friendly, helpful (we requested a bottle opener for the bucket of beer) the room was comfortable, clean & spacious; the food was delicious, spa was fab and the areas were very welcoming. Plenty of free parking for staying guests!

The pub is located opposite a church in a tiny village. It is a tranquil setting. The pub is quirky and full of character. We were in the Josephine room which was spacious and beautifully laid out. We had a lovely view out of the front of the pub. The bed was comfortable and the room was incredibly warm but not uncomfortably so. The bathroom was to the side of the bedroom but the basins were in the bedroom, not a problem and another quirky feature. The bath has a handheld shower and the bath has a luxurious feel to it and to be honest, so comfortable that it was hard to leave it. The breakfast was tasty and there are 4 choices on the menu, including a vegetarian/vegan one. All in all a lovely pub with lovely helpful staff.

The cottage was perfect for our needs, a stopover for one night for four of us plus two small dogs. We were very impressed with the decor and how comfortable the owner has made the cottage for visitors. In particular, the kitchen is a lovely space.

It was a great stay. Room was comfortable with everything you need and more. Great and big breakfast if you want it. Bus stop in front of the door and close to Folkstone. Loved the birds in the garden!
