I’ve stayed at the Halfway House Inn many times and it’s the location, the accommodation, the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness that always makes it a pleasure to stay at. Competitively priced and having good road links makes it easy for travelling. Located not too far from Yeovil means it’s only about 15 minutes from the town centre but has great countryside views and a lake behind the Inn. Would recommend it for anyone wanting to get away and explore the area.

Ann and Charles are lovely welcoming hosts at this great West Country pub. Very comfortable room, great food and drink, comfy sofas and an adorable pub dog.
Location is right on the square in the middle of the village so perfect for looking round Montacute house, but also just 5 minutes from A303 to very convenient to explore the wider area by car.
