Holly Tree Hotel, Swimming Pool & Hot Tub, hotel in Kentallen

Stunningly situated by the sea, this stylish hotel offers chic accommodations, facilities and dining.

Easy to find and close to the Glenfinnan and Glencoe areas and attractions of the West Highlands which accounts for the cost of the rooms. The hotel sits on Loch Linnhe and provides a gorgeous view of the highlands and Ben Nevis. There’s a working boat slip that is not busy. There’s a green space for the dogs to run. Lots of parking. There is a pool, but we didn’t use it. The hotel is very family-oriented and we don’t have kids so we left the pool to the families. We stayed in the Captain's King Room with Sea View. It was large with king bed, two comfortable chairs, a coffee table, desk, and night stands. The balcony included a table and chairs and overlooked the loch—excellent view. The bathroom was large with a tub and separate shower and a big shelf for our personal toiletries. No robes provided. A kettle was provided along with teas and instant coffee and biscuits. They don’t provide a daily housekeeping service but did upon requested. Though there was a large crowd enjoying the outdoor seating below us at the bar, when we closed the sliding door to the balcony we couldn’t hear the other guests at all—the sound proofing for the hotel was that good! The restaurant was large as well as the bar. The bar also had outdoor seating. The included breakfast was a buffet of cold cereals and Scottish breakfast which allowed us to pick and chose from the Scottish breakfast instead of being given the whole huge thing! The staff in the hotel and restaurant very friendly and attentive.

Truly a gift to ourselves to stay at Glencoe House. Richard and the staff were exceptional. Hats off to the chef who popped in to make sure our meal exceeded our expectations. We utilized the pristine hot tub, affordably priced bar, exquisite accommodations. Put yourself first and enjoy the long history and commitment to service at Glencoe House🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Corran Bunkhouse, hotel in Kentallen

Corran Bunkhouse is set in Lochaber near Onich, on the banks of Loch Linnhe. This charming property offers rooms set in a former bunkhouse with a steam room and kitchen.

This is my 2nd trip to Corran Bunkhouse. The staff is kind, generous and helpful. I know the facility will be clean and I felt safe in my surroundings. Parking was convenient and available. On this trip, we took advantage of the ferry and went across the water to the inn/pub for dinner which was so worth it. Grocery store is close by. Having a place to store food and having a full kitchen, in addition to a lounge, make this such a convenient place. I've traveled with someone else on both trips but would happily return as a solo traveler and feel completely safe.

A stunning view, slightly old fashioned worn decor but still homely enough and very, very clean. The only two comments l would have to complain were that the beds were so hard! We all had terrible sleeps. Also all being between 5’7 and 6’1 the shower was incredibly small. The view from balcony made up for it though!

There is absolutely nothing to do in Kentallen itself. But if one is travelling to the west coast of Scotland then the scenery around the area is wonderful.I would return to explore more in the future. We ate at the hotel in Kentallen but the food was not to our taste and there are no other restaurants in the village. I was surprised that there were no activities for young people other than the facilities at the Holly Tree Hotel

The lovely room with a terrace and view over the loch towards the mountains welcomed us to this beautiful spot. The staff were friendly and helpful and professional. The food was amazing in particular the evening meal in the seafood restaurant. Locally sourced food enhanced the interesting menu. For whisky lovers the wide ranging choice of malts is excellent. We will definitely come back again.
