Very peaceful location in lush grounds. All food excellent and the restaurant fully deserves its star rating. Hotel beautifully appointed. Several rooms are on second floor up steep steps - and no lift. Comes with the territory of the hotel being a quirky Victorian villa

Room was a good size, bed very comfortable and excellent linens. Room got hot but they had provided a big fan. The bathroom was a good size but the shower was a little small. Restaurant service and food was good.

The location is ideal, the rooms are a lovely size. We've stayed previously and normally everything is fabulous but this time the breakfast service was poor.

The breakfast was good and there was plenty of it. Parking was good, the owners were very friendly.and there was a fridge in the room, plus milk was provided.we also had a sea view.
