Four poster room was very lovely and tranquil.. (Until later) very large too. Lots of windows with lovely views but well protected with wooden blinds. Nice selection of beverages in room. Bar/ dinning area downstairs comfy and relaxed. Staff were nice. Real ales which was great find for me. Not as great as I'd expected Starter of veg steam dumplings very good, venison unfortunately overcooked and tough, quite a small plate of food for the price as only given a dessert spoon of sliced potatoes for some reason but the heritage carrots and jus were lovely.
