Loved the location and worth what I had paid, for the most part. The bathroom is really good for the family room we occupied during our stay. Staff were really responsive and make efforts to assist whenever we asked.

Pleasant little town with a good range of restaurants and pubs so we had a range of options for dinner. We were only there for an early morning flight from Gatwick so didn't spend time exploring - although it did look as though there would be good walks in the surrounding countryside. We ate at the Wetherspoons a that is an inexpensive option; the staff were very friendly and the ambience was good.
Would certainly choose to stay in Horley again if we needed a night's accommodation before a morning flight from Gatwick.

Many people stay in the area because its so close to Gatwick airport. When you are there, make sure to check out Ye Olde Six Bells. Its a great restaurant that was built in the 1400's as part of a monastery.

The Wetherspoon pub was in the centre of town a 20 min walk from my accommodation which was at the middle distance between the town and the airport. People appeared friendly but as a transient resident I got ripped off by the locals. The tapas restaurant was open for customers but the cider was so sweet I could not drink it and I was told it was Spanish which I frankly doubt as I was not shown any label and the drink was pored for me without my getting to see it. I'll avoid the tapas bar the next time I need to visit the city prior to going on holiday or when I need to stay overnight on my return from holiday.

There was a great pub called 6 bells.
There was a great pub called 6 bells. The staff were lovely and Wayne the proprietor really looked after me as did all the staff. The food I had was excellent. The pub itself is unofficially the 2nd oldest pub in England. It was easy to walk to from The Corner House.

Very comfortable rooms, friendly efficient staff, good choice of restaurants in the evening with lovely food. Breakfast could improve as while everything is well laid out with plenty of choice the food is not being kept hot enough and is quite cold by the time you take it back to your table which is a shame as it’s good quality food. It was the same for both visits.

Travelers should be warned there there are steep steps to get to the room (unless you book the downstairs room). This was a huge surprise and problem for us as we had a lot of heavy baggage and it could not be left downstairs.
I chose this hotel since I landed in Gatwick around 01:30 and planned to leave the area in the morning after, so a hotel in the airport was the most reasonable solution. For some reason I didn't expect a half-capsule hotel - it's not the capsules that remind you a sarcophagus, but it's the type of room that you should move slowly otherwise you bump into something. The room was clean, I liked the purple light and all in all it answered my need and was a good solution.
We were looking for two rooms near Gatwick because we needed to be at the airport somewhat early the next day. Horley is a good base near Gatwick and fit the bill. Arriving in Horley, we found this to be on a street with lots of B&Bs, and this one appeared to be the best maintained and cleanest of the whole group on the street. Both rooms were charming, neat and clean, and the manager was very nice and helpful.

The rooms are small but have everything you need for a short stay. The bed was comfortable; the shower really nice and hot. The food and drinks menu was varied and affordable. I had the breakfast delivered and was impressed with what I got for less than £8. Staff all very friendly and accommodating.

Excellent location close to Gatwick Airport. There is a shuttle bus service that runs 24 hours to and from the hotel. The shuttle cost us only 4.50 pounds per person each way. The hotel was clean, spacious and our bed was very comfortable. There is an on-site restaurant and bar and room service is available. Staff are friendly and helpful. Price is fair.
Close proximity to Gatwick Airport and Horley Train Station. Shopping center not far away. Nice and quiet location despite you can hear the busy Airport around the clock. The place was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable and so was the two seat sofa. The owner was very friendly and very helpful. I'd definitely stay here again. Would recommend.
Incredibly convenient for Gatwick airport/Crawley/Horley. Literally a 5 minute drive from the south terminal to the farmhouse. Room was well appointed and comfortable. Very simple check in and out process. Has a rural feel to it despite being so close to everything. Would definitely book again if the need arises.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Front desk staff professional, friendly and helpful. So convenient to catch your plane at terminal one it was amazing. Hotel room was spotless. Eighth floor lounge area was wonderful with amazing staff. First time to Britain and we were so pleased with Sofitel London Gatwick.
Clean and comfortable and very close to Gatwick airport - easily reached by bus or train. Horley has good grocery stores and other services, of note, excellent Turkish food and service at a Shiraz Bar and Restaurant. We were able to use dining room to eat our own food for breakfast and lunch.
Needed to stay at Gatwick due to a very early flight and this hotel was GREAT. Didn't hear a peep at all. (I was on the top floor so that may have had something to do with it!!) But I heard no planes or anythign else. Very quiet! Everythign was comfortable and very clean. wonderful room.

I booked this hotel because of the UK heat emergency and my fear that the rail network would be affected by Tuesday. I think this is an excellent hotel. You are 100 metres from the Gatwick North EasyJet check in area, but you would not know that in the hotel. Very nice room.
Hotel main floor is a huge bar / resto common area, serves a great breakfast, fine staff. Only a short walk, through an ancient church yard, to a terrific classic pub. A longer easy walk to Horley high street. Excellent shuttle connection to airport. Great stay.
