Excellent location for hiking in Peak district, only 5 mins walk to the train station also right in front of the bus station. Very nice breakfast in a cozy dining room, everything was well prepared. Hand made delicious cake was a bonus after the hiking. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfy too. John is a friendly and very helpful host!

Very good range of gluten free options for dinner. Portions are generous. Staff were all knowledgeable regarding a coeliac diet and very friendly. We'd ask for a room with a countryside view next time we stayed.

The location was perfect, very central but still quiet. The huge bed was really comfortable and the while accommodation was very new and modern

Hope sits on an A road and is just a few minutes from Castleton. It is handy for some really interesting places and good walking routes. Without roadworks it will be three quarters of an hour from Sheffield and the M1.

There are 3 nice real ale pubs, a deli and a couple of lovely cafes. It's a centre for all sorts of outdoor activities and can get busy in the summer. You can see the cement factory chimney from everywhere, but it's not an eyesore.

Absolute gorgeous place.
Absolute gorgeous place. Everybody is so welcoming and there is Lots to explore. During my weekend stay with a friend we explored all of the most popular peak attractions. Watched the sunrise up mam tor. Ate breakfast at a handful of cafes and had Sunday roast in the Old Hall Hotel. - Very good customer service, friendly staff and they are a dog friendly bar, which we loved to see. Everything in hope is relatively close to one another so it is easy to get around but if you are new I would recommend that you stick to a satnav due to there being lots of bendy roads leading into various directions. The drives themselves are beautiful but not knowing the area, I would say that its very easy to get lost if you are travelling around.
Theres nothing I would avoid on my next visit. My experience was a very pleasant one. I would honestly encourage anybody that loves nature, adventures and hiking to visit hope. We were not disappointed.
Absolutely gorgeous setting, high up above the village of Hope and close to the ascent to Win Hill. This little cabin is located on a charming hillside, with sheep and lambs coming up to the gate to say hello. Very idyllic and quiet at night (save for the bleating lambs!) with a gorgeous view south across the valley. There is a little barbecue and outside seating area to take it all in. The cabin itself is compact, but clean and with everything you need for a quirky couple of nights' stay. Would absolutely book again.
An amazing stay and for sure we will be back there again .
Beautiful view and the shepherds involved with everything you need for cooking.
It was cleaner than 5 star hotels and comfort .
Just Grab your coals and meat and enjoy a barbecue with amazing Peak District hills view.
A tranquil and idyllic setting with sweeping views of the Hope Valley in the High Peak District. A 30 minute hike up the steep incline to Win Hill with 360 degree views and convenient access to the nearby iconic Dark Peak sites of Mam Tor and Kinder Scout.
Comfortable room, exquisitely decorated. Real coffee and tea laid on with use of mini fridge if required. TV. Wash basin in room and ample storage. Private bathroom with shower adjacent. 2 min walk from Hope rail station. Parking available.
We were a little apprehensive having to go elsewhere for breakfast but knowing Hope village and the cafe opposite, it made us happier about our reservation.
