Exceptionally clean, comfortable and friendly. We didn't eat at the hotel but the food looks good. The staff were very happy and helpful. We had a lovely short break there and I'd stay again without hesitation.

Highcliffe is a beautiful place for all ages, it has the best beach, views and sunsets in the world, plenty of parking. You do have to do your research with ferry times, this year 2024, the ferry from mudifud Quay doesn't start until June. due to repairs.

Highcliffe is not a Castle, just an expensive country house built around 1830 as wings on to an older private chapel. It's over a quarter-mile from The Lord Bute restaurant-with-rooms (by the old gate-lodges) which clings to the family name, more familiar in Cardiff and Scotland.

We wish we had known how noisy the rooms are at the front of the hotel ! If you dont mind keeping the triple glazed windows shut you can have the air conditioning on !! Still lots of noise!!
It got worse when there was a commotion at the restaurant next door in the early hours! It was so loud we picked up the names of two of the group!!

My boyfriend and I love to walk, we found many places to walk in our time staying here but we wish we had more time to stay to explore more. Most definitely go over to hengistbury head and burst castle. Lovely long walks.
All the coffee shops/cafes we went are lovely and the coffees are spot on. The food was fantastic and nicely presented.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, we both had the cooked option which was nice and hot with a proper pot of tea. Location good near to beaches. We also dined in the hotel, the restaurant is very comfortable and we found the food quality of the food to be very good plus the bar service too . We have dined here before and would do so again.
Clean and tidy newly decorated apartment in the Highcliffe town centre close to the beach. The apartment is perfect for 2 people or a family of 4 people like we were. The kitchen is fully equipped and the apartment even has a small terrace. All services are nearby. The owner responded to our queries very quickly..
The staff were so helpful. My friend needed a fridge and they went out of the way to find one for our room. The evening meal was one of the best I've had in a hotel and very good value as was the breakfast. Fabulous stay
