The pub inn is very clean and I liked breakfast was available for purchase at great prices downstairs. The location is perfect if you want to stay in the middle of a quaint English town. This is just what we were looking for. It’s about a 20 minute very reasonable cab ride to Highclere Castle, Downton Abbey!

Set in Newbury, 7.4 km from Highclere Castle, The Furze Bush Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Very comfortable and clean room with housekeeping entering daily. Fabulous that the room has aircon which would be a great during the humid UK summer. The location is beautiful in a rural area and an easy commute to Newbury or Reading, ideal for business travel. The restaurant food is excellent and the service was excellent.

Really enjoyed our day here .

Really enjoyed our day here . They opened early as they were expecting to be busy so we got our castel tour over with before the crowds. Great for any Downton Abbey fans!! Lovely gardens and grounds . Plenty to do for a day. Loved the appearances of Lord and Lady Carnavon during the day. Lovely cocktail bar selling fizz.
