Location for Hayle and its shops and restaurants was excellent. The pub itself was friendly and welcoming. The bathroom was nice and clean and the decor was simple but modern.

Hayle has a slightly run down appearance at first, but don`t let that put you off! It has a charm all of its own and once you discover its hidden secrets you will be hooked. Beautiful beach, miles of white soft sand backed by rolling sand dunes with endless options to explore. When the sun is shinning the sea is blue, the sands white, you cant beat Cornwall then. Plenty of places to eat, from little cafes, snack huts, fish and chips to more expensive dinning options, there is something for everyone, and not forgetting Philps pasty shop, probably the best you will taste, always busy! Super easy to get around, either walking, local bus etc, why not try a day trip to Penzance or better still St Ives, go by train along the coast from St Erth or use the bus instead, all really centrally located and easy to use

Hayle is a lovely place to see, something for everyone.
Hayle is a lovely place to see, something for everyone. Bigger stores, known brands on the outskirts, smaller local businesses in town. Lovely wharf side gardens with the war memorial at one end and a special tribute to Ray Liota (apologise for the spelling if wrong) one of the 9/11 firemen who went in the towers rescuing folk, singing all the way, people heard him and felt comforted. He went back in and sadly never came back out. Warrens Bakery for the original Cornish Pasty and Phelps for the modern versions. Dominos deliver to the Quay House if needed. Good beaches and holiday places in St ives Bay, St Ives Town is across the estuary from these. Godrevy Lighthouse.

Hayle is not really a tourist destination, but is a great base from which to explore the southern end of Cornwall. Hayle has good supermarkets, a small but useful shopping area with M&S an Next. There are loads of pubs and small shops, and it has its own very nice beach, with a three mile long beach a short drive away. There are plenty of places to visit and attractions to see, all within easy striking distance from Hayle

Lots of places to explore walking around the harbour is interesting but you have to slow down and take it in to fully appreciate everything.

We have holidayed in Hayle several times and we like the area very much.
Like all holiday areas there is some good parts and some not so good, so you need to do your homework.
There is plenty of supermarkets in Hayle as well as eateries, in the summer months it is probably best to book ahead especially if you wanted to dine at one of the local restaurants.
Although not beach people, we found the beach to be clean and well looked after.
Really lovely cottage, ideal getaway for a couple. Everything you need for a comfortable stay and even milk in the fridge and biscuits. I loved the relaxing vibe of the cottage and would definitely stay again.
Great location for going exploring Hayle and other near by places like Penzance, Marazion & St Ives. From the cottage the railway station is at one end of the road and bus stops at the other, great if you fancy going out & want to drink or you don't drive.
Perfect for a cosy getaway.
The location was ideal. Perfectly situated between Hayle, St Ives, Penzance, Redruth etc. The cottage was superb. Every room was spacious and felt so homely. The new bathroom looked amazing, beautiful tiles and stunning bath. The car parking was easy to access around the back of the property. The local pub was a stones throw away and their food was delicious - ate and drank in there most evenings!! I would not hesitate to book here again...in fact I would love to live here!!
Great location for getting around various places in Cornwall.
Fantastic and unique little gem that has clearly been well designed with plenty of love and attention. Great host, really friendly and full of information if the local area. Includes a couple of lovely friendly dogs and a sleep cat to greet you in and out every day!
We went for a mini moon and Lee and Sharon were wonderful and set the place up romantically for our arrival.
Just wish we had the place for longer!
Lovely and convenient for train station. We came to Hayle day earlier than planned due to rail strikes and booked one night at The White Hart Hotel. Very impressed with all aspects of hotel. Staff were incredibly friendly with nothing too much trouble. Breakfast included in price was delicious and served in the conservatory which was very pleasant. Would definitely book again.
We had a wonderful couple of days. The Cottage is beautifully well kept and overlooking a stunning rural view of Cornwall. There is bus stop right outside the door and it's a short 10 minute drive to Hayle, Penzance and St.Ives. Property has everything we needed and hosts were always available to ask questions of and very happy to do so!
Highly recommended!
Cosy annex on the house of the owners. Ian is SUCH a nice guy, warm and friendly and so is his wife! Perfect location for all of Cornwall really. Amazing beach nearby. Annex had everything we needed and also privacy too. Very quiet. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Excellent location right by the GWR railway line. Great friendly hosts. Clean comfortable rooms with modern facilities. Great location for touring the Lizard peninsula and the far south west of Cornwall.
The hotel is a lovely old building very well decorated and quaint. The food was fantastic and the staff were brilliant. The bar was lovely and reasonably priced, again with great staff.
Very close to the most beautiful places in Cornwall , the house is quite small but looks amazing and you have everything you need for a family of up to 5 people
Great location, ten minutes from some of the best beaches in Cornwall. Everything you'd need for a short holiday. Quiet, secluded but not TOO middle-of-nowhere.
