It was a very nice place to stay for an overnight stop off. Plentiful parking, friendly and attentive staff, a nice and clean room that fully met our personal requirements. We also had an evening meal which was excellent, we had an early start so skipped breakfast. Costs all seemed reasonable and in line with what you'd expect to pay in a pub and a restaurant.

It was very easy to book and the communication prior to arrival was very good.
There was everything we needed in the room including complimentary breakfast and a travel cot.
Food was amazing. Lovely bathroom products and lots of personal touches made the stay memorable. Good location for visiting many sights. Main drawback was no overhead ceiling shower due to ceiling height, so shower had to be handheld, which made hair washing tricky.

Hawkhurst is a small town, but has the amenities you need such as supermarkets and shops. It is ideally situated for a number of attractions in the area, such as Sissinghurst, Bodiam Castle, Great Dixter etc.
The breakfast was excellent. Close location for visiting several National Trust properties. Easy to find. Grocery and petrol stations near by on the same street if you need them. We had a Family Room which is all that was available. It was spacious and comfortable. The shower was in the bathtub. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Lots of parking onsite, in front of hotel and pub.
Perfect location for a peaceful retreat and yet only a few minutes to the nearby Hawkhurst where there is a Tesco and Waitrose. Charming, welcoming hosts made me feel completely at home. The barn is well equipped for self-catering and is spotless and well maintained. Ideally placed for visits to Great Dixter and Sissinghurst. I loved my stay here and would definitely return!
The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was out of this world delicious and nutritious! So we're the evening meals and beer!! The service was outstanding in every aspect! The bed was super comfortable and the room was very clean, complete with coffee, tea and treats. I would come back to Hawkhurst just to stay at The Queens Inn.
It is an old Inn located in a beautiful region. We made small excursions to Bodium Castle, Great Dixter House and Gardens, and smaller villages and their churches nearby. The Pub in the hotel was warm and inviting. Harry Cox and his staff went above and beyond for us. We enjoyed generous meals, fun entertainment, and cozy atmosphere!
The staff were fantastic but a special mention needs to be said for Zoe who was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond - really is a huge credit to the hotel! Really didn't want to leave as it was such a great stay. Lovely breakfast and the brownies didn't last long
Staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Perfect setting of hotel in the lovely village of Hawkhurst. Room very comfortable. In the evening restaurant food delicious, breakfast food pretty comprehensive and served with a smile. Absolutely loved it.
It was our third visit to the hotel, and stayed in our favourite room, number 5,. Very sumptuous and elegant. The staff as always were excellent, very helpful, friendly and professional. A wonderful stay. Dinner in the restaurant was as delicious as ever
Can not recommend this hotel enough. Right from the very start the welcome was beyond expected by being offered a complimentary coffee and the staff were so welcoming. the room is very cozy and bed is very comfy. good at the restaurant too was lovely
The welcome, friendliness, relaxed home from home feel.
I didn't see one member of staff without a smile and an offer of help. If only you could bottle this hotels work ethic and sprinkle it on some of the corporate faceless hotels.
The large main bedroom had lovely wooden shutters, which kept out the sunshine first thing in the morning, the nice courtyard garden was a sun trap and the cottage was only a few minutes drive to Hawkhurst.
