Lovely 300 year old former Coach House complete with ghosts! Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant/breakfast very nice and reasonably priced. Great location, right in the centre of Havent.
The Langstone Quays Resort is located just 8 miles from Portsmouth, outside of Havant on the northern shore of Hayling Island.

The hotel was easy to find and has ample free car parking on site. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. Our room was equipped with a bath, which I always think is a bonus. The breakfast choice was good and the food well cooked or well presented. The view from our first floor room was over the car park, but beyond was a nice view of the estuary and bridge to Hayling Island. The free Wi-Fi worked well.

Not much really, save for the ease of entry and exit which was by electronic fob. The room was at least clean, though having a sofa instead of a desk and chair was a bit weird, given that they knew I was staying on business so it doesn't take a genius to know that for preference I'd need a desk and chair to work from and given the fact that nobody relaxes in a room except in luxurious accommodation; which this certainly wasn't.
This converted 18th-century farmhouse is on Hayling Island, 12 miles from Portsmouth city centre. Newton House has free Wi-Fi and free parking, just half a mile from the nearby beach.

Amazing location and loved the experience of living in a small compact, well designed floating hut! The breakfast and welcome bottle of fizz was very thoughtful. Just loved it!

The facilities are great. I am always disappointed when I notice the swimming pool is still out of order. Not a fan of the service charge on the food, I cannot pay this due to my company policy and I always feel bad having to ask for it to be removed.
This stylish hotel is located by Southsea seafront, 5 minutes’ walk from the beach. It offers unique rooms with free Wi-Fi, free parking and luxury buffet and a la carte breakfasts.

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions. The breakfast was very good. They have introduced paid parking on the road since the last occasion we were there, but the hotel supplied a permit to park on the road as their parking space at the front was full.

The Ferryboat Inn on the furthest edge of Hayling Island was really good, excellent customer service and a great menu. Lovely views of the water. Lots of places to eat in the area and fantastic walks and views. Very windy when we were there - to be expected on the coast. Lots of boats and windsurfing to watch. We went on the little Hayling Island train - lovely!

We liked the outside view, great for sunrises and sunsets.
We liked the outside view, great for sunrises and sunsets.
The tea room with the fireplace was very cozy. The power shower in the room was very nice.
The hand-wash and body wash - the bottles were reused and one was dented. Very unhygienic. The spare blanket in the wardrobe was thrown onto the floor with no cover. The tea cups were dirty. No menus in the room. The room we were given hadn't been serviced in a long time. The strip that closed the wardrobe door was broken. It was only when we changed rooms that some of those things were rectified. We will not be returning. The receptionists were not interested in good customer service.

A well presented old hotel with lots of history and in parts has been kept in original condition, a smell of musty books is all around but not unpleasant as this enchanting place is centuries old, staff are friendly and on hand and food is tasty and well prresented, car park is a good size and free. However the room stayed in was slanted and repairs needed, otherwise a fair stay for the price, be wary of lots of walking stairs and noisy at night.

Havant is more of a staging post to visit other places. it has a reasonable shopping area with reasonable forms of transport available as in bus and train service.
I was using it to visit people during the time of a funeral and so it worked for me in that way

A lovely town centre market on Saturday and lots of shops.
A lovely town centre market on Saturday and lots of shops. Several nice pubs serving food. Lively evening atmosphere. Large superstores near by. Lovely public park. Friendly people. Beautiful traditional buildings with pantiled roofs and a very historic feel to the town. We ate at Wetherspoons in the town centre as most people seemed to do. food and drink were excellent and good value. If we find a Wetherspoons in a different town which is a hotel we would definitely choose to stay in one.

Central parking is very good giving easy access to all local facilities. For those who wish to shop there are a lot of varied retail outlets conveniently close together. In addition there is an abundance of different style eating places to choose from.
The pedestrianised area, quiet side roads and little alleys and footpaths give it a very relaxed feel.
There are plenty of interesting old buildings and architecture here and the detailed historical sign boards and wall plaques are absolutely excellent. A little oasis for the casual walker. We loved the wonderful old oak beamed pubs and inns which are beautifully run and maintained. A credit to their brewery owners and staff.
The Bear hotel is conveniently situated for trips into Portsmouth to the Historic Dockyard or to Southsea D Day Museum.
Although the decor is a little tired the amenities were good and the parking was right outside once you negotiate the one way back streets to the car park. There was a good selection of meals for dinner.
Breakfast was buffet style with the option of a full English breakfast.
The room was comfy but not lavish and there was plenty of hot water for showers or a bath.
The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We travelled with a dog and they ensured we were catered for and felt welcome. Breakfast and food were good. Location was good with town centre shops and amenities on the doorstep. Hayling Island and East Wittering beaches are a very short drive away. There are some lovely walks down to the shore (not beach) starting from the museum opposite the hotel. Parking was easy and plentiful.
We chose the Bear Hotel due to its location so that we could visit family. The breakfasts were presented well and delicious. Staff were helpful, letting us know changes to the bar opening times over the holiday period and signposting us to a reliable taxi company. The hotel is close to shops, banks, Waitrose and other pubs.
We were organising an event and stayed at this hotel. The location is fantastic, the building and facilities were very good. I felt safe with the covid measures and one member of the staff (Marco) did as much as possible to ensure the event ran smoothly.
The hotel itself was smart and clean, the food was good and the room very comfortable. On my second morning the handle on my bathroom tap came loose - I reported it to reception and by the time I returned that afternoon the whole tap had been replaced.
Room was comfortable and the restaurant food was very good. One excellent facility was a quiet public room where there was no music playing. I wish more hotels would do this. Not everyone wants to listen to music all the time in the bar or rest areas.
Very friendly staff. Hotel is in an excellent location for visiting family (which is why we've chosen it on more than one occasion). Ample free parking and very close to the centre of Havant. Nice big restaurant and bar area.
The location was good. .The staff were very friendly. The food was nice. The room was nice and warm with the heater / installed.. Loved the lay out of the hotel .The cleaning staff kept our room clean.
Location very nice, hotel if looking a little tired. Breakfast excellent in airy dining room, with good views across the water. Friendly staff with a well stocked bar, even if the service is slow.
Not too much. Location couldn’t be worse… it’s SO far away from town, and it’s really hard to get a taxi to come get you - and the hotel staff on reception hardly made any effort to help with this
The location was close to work and the menu in the restaurant was broad. The bar itself was warm and cosy. The price was the cheapest I could find in the area. But perhaps for a reason.
Warm & comfortable hotel in a good location. Plenty of parking. Breakfast and Dinner were good, with a varied range of choices. Would have liked some biscuits with the room Tea tray.
Beds were very good, rooms spotless and a decent size, exceptionally well located in central Havant with rooms back from the road, well insulated and hence quiet
