Warkworth House Hotel, hotel in Hadston

In the heart of the village of Warkworth, this 18th-century coaching inn offers 3-star hotel accommodation less than a mile from the Northumberland coast.

We were surprised at how busy the road was which meant we could not open the windows in our room either early evening or early morning. The room and bed was comfortable and nicely furnished. Overall there hotel was quiet apart from the road outside. We did not think the restaurant food was very good - the fish pie in particularly was very dry and not enjoyable. The staff were polite but not very friendly.

We were shown to our room. We had a castle view. The bedroom was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Lovely little touches such as the LED candles that we used as a night light. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, both beautifully cooked and delicious.

The Bridges B&B, hotel in Hadston

Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, The Bridges B&B offers accommodation in Broomhill, within 5 km from the coastal towns of Amble and Warkworth, at the start of the Northumbria Coastal Route.

We were given a very warm welcome by Lesley and Steve. Our room with king-size bed was lovely, quiet, very clean and the bed very comfortable. We had exclusive use of a large bathroom. Lesley had provided many thoughtful additions to our room such as a good selection of teas, bedside chocolates, and dressing gowns to use. We had an excellent choice for breakfast, including continental and cooked breakfast and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The décor was cheerful and welcoming. Last of all, the location was perfect to visit Amble, Warkworth, Alnwick, Alnmouth and - if we had been staying longer - many other beautiful places in Northumberland.

Amazing stay. Loved the prosecco and biscuits that were sitting out when we arrived. This place is in a good location to where we ventured to.. Lovely lodge, the hot tub was great after some long walks in the afternoon. The host was very easy to get in touch with, great communication. Great for dogs too, theres a walk just down from the lodge. We will definitely be back.
