We were upgraded to a bigger room; great position; helpful staff, although had to advise on how to chill wine (you need iced water, not just ice). Dinner was quite good; breakfast was very good.

My friend and I loved staying with Barry and Ann. Such an interesting, warm and hospitable couple who were the perfect hosts. Clean, inviting and very comfortable, we slept better than we do at home. Breakfast was amazing and the best cooked breakfast I’ve ever had at a B and B. My friend and I wished we could have stayed longer. Perfect stay in a beautiful home within a beautiful setting. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning.

This is a fantastic location and well furnished.

This is a fantastic location and well furnished. The only drawback is the last bit of the road to the house. If your car has good ground clearance then don't hesitate as you should have a wonderful time.

Benmore cottage was lovely and cosy could do some updating.

Benmore cottage was lovely and cosy could do some updating. It was easy to find, Gunnerside itself is very small it was pretty with the sun shinning, however the pub advertised had shut down although menus were left in the cottage for us, so disappointed.. Gunnerside was good for us as a base to travel about. We took lots of food and did most of the cooking ourselves. We did go to the Punchbowl for a meal which was nice but did have to drive. Yes we enjoyed Richmond Hawes Keld and lots of beauty spots.
