Very quiet and rural. Outside wood fire for barbecue. Quaint hut. Very helpful staff. Walking distance to South Downs Way on tracks via Seaforth College but need to check route.

Lovely hotel situated close to the racing circuit. Room was very comfortable. Use of spa and gym, dressing gowns and slippers provided. The breakfast in the Bar & Grill was delicious and plentiful. We also had dinner in there one evening, which was also good. The staff throughout were all lovely.

Absolutely loved this special place.
Arrived after a long day of walking on the South Downs way - greeted by welcoming staff. Had the most amazing room in the vicarage with crisp white sheets and gorgeous bath with French doors out onto the garden. Wonderful dinner in the refectory surrounded by residential art groups then adjourned to the lovely bar. Next morning used the pool. And visited the gardens. Amazing

Lovely town and swan in old centre, so close but not too busy. Nice square and church opposite. Seating on pavement to watch world go by. Good breakfast in cafe opposite. Staff very helpful. Good range of beers. Parked in centre by hotel, free. We stayed before walking south downs and wanted to return to explore town.

Very comfortable beds, large room, well presented and good facilities -- fridge , milk, coffee machine, etc.
A little expensive perhaps, but would definitely recommend and use again.
Great place to stay, easy for Chichester and Arundel.
Great place to stay, easy for Chichester and Arundel. Weald and Downlands museum definitely worth a visit - take walking shoes.
The White Horse is great for gastropub food; The Forresters Arms does good pub food if you want soemething a bit simpler.

Just be aware that all the local pubs are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays making eating out very difficult. Had to travel into Midhurst on the Tuesday evening for a meal and that proved extremely disappointing.

The photos really don't do the Hideaway justice.
The photos really don't do the Hideaway justice. The place was lovely and clean, had good facilities and the setting in the South Downs is simply stunning. In one night we saw deer, badgers, rabbits and a fox! Also I managed to lose my wallet and Oliver the owner searched the place more than once after we left and posted it back to us, for which I was incredibly grateful..
Would highly recommend the Hideaway.

Pubs that sell great food and give a warm welcome are a mile away from the property which can be walked down a path away from roads - very relaxing.
The only noise at the property was birdsong - fantastic!
