Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, lovely room. Great location.I asked if it would be possible to leave, prosecco, chocies and flowers in the room to impress my partner. And they did exactly that! And at a very reasonable price. Dave on reception was great!

Superb location, beautiful styled interiors. Felt classy. Very clean. We had a standard twin room and it was plenty big enough with seating/drinks facilities. Massive double headed shower. Staff friendly. Robes and flip flops provided. Spa facilities lovely and clean. Busy but not too busy, nice atmosphere. Amount of things included in the room rate was brilliant - 4 pools, 3 saunas, steam room, aromatherapy room etc. Planning to stay again already! Penhaligons toiletries were a lovely luxurious touch too. Menu looked amazing for dinner though we ate elsewhere in the town. Good range of treatments available to book at the spa.

This cottage wasn't actually in Flagg. It was in Pomeroy a hamlet - some 3 miles from Flagg. Saving grace - The Duke of York pub was just across the busy road! Very good the evening we went. Flagg itself looks a very nice village - farming community.

This is definitely a rural location and you need transport...
This is definitely a rural location and you need transport to get around, although there are some walking paths nearby. I would have liked to have longer to explore them more, but had other priorities this trip. Convenient for access to Buxton, and as a base for further exploration of the region.
