Really fabulous property, very clean & comfortable - tastefully decorated! Lovely enclosed garden to let our dog out. The breakfasts were delicious ( fresh produce, delivered to your door in a wicker basket, at a time to suit you ) Great location to explore this part of Norfolk- in a quiet village within 20 mins of the coast(Wells, Holkham, Burnham, Holt etc) Gary, one of the owners, recommended nearby places to eat - The Dabbling Duck pub, about 10 mins by car was excellent!

The location was ideal for the purpose of our visit to Fakenham. The welcome on arrival was brilliant, considering we had been held up in traffic and were later than expected. Despite the kitchen being about to close, the proprietor made an exception and we had a good basic meal. The accommodation was very adequate and comfortable and clean. The included continental breakfast was perfectly adequate. Check out was quick and easy, so overall a good experience.

The location and the setting are exceptional, there is a very peaceful atmosphere around the place and the garden is very beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful and included is a large breakfast with good coffee or tea.

Fakenham is a good location for the coast but the town itself is small with only a few places to eat and drink and a small cinema, but pretty quite. Nice chalk stream with footpath right next to cottage. Nice pub a short walk out of town too, in next hamlet, near a common

The town itself was quite so don’t expect raving night life. Good friendly local pub, excellent fish and chip shop close to Cromwell Cottage and a superb pub/ restaurant Sculthorpe Mill a fey minutes out of town.

.........We Never went into Fakenham..........We were up there to meet my husband's younger brother - OVER FROM AUSTRALIA!
........We are NOT YOUNG....so, we ate with his Bruv's No.3 child in East Rudham or purchased our own food from the LOVELY VILLAGE SHOP...... or Morrisons....just 3-4 miles down the road.
Great Quiet Place.
Loads of Swallows nesting in the eves and Swifts (I think)....certainly Wagtails. Friendly dogs, Horses, and Great Owners

It was a good place to use as a base to explore North Norfolk. Kings Lynn, Norwich, Sheringham, Aylsham, Burnham Overy, Burnham, Walsingham all within easy access. Local pubs and shopping facilities are fine, but nothing to write home about.

Lovely walks along the river Wensum and around the town.
Recommend Mr Chips for fish and chips. We were able to sit outside under a rambling vine!
Not easy to drive through the town. Definitely recommend a satnav.
This was a perfect little cottage for our trip to Fakenham. It is nicely decorated, warm, very clean and comfortable throughout. We were particularly impressed with the provision in the kitchen. absolutely everything you would need and more was there. Also generous touches like milk, tea, coffee (including pods for the coffee machine) together with oil for cooking etc. Jason sent clear instructions for our arrival and messaged after our stay. we would definitely recommend this property for a great base in the locality.
Location excellent for seeing family and attractions Norfolk has to offer.right in centre of fakenham few minutes walk from shops public houses and eateries .also brilliant location for walking down the river as it runs under the mill house very scenic.
The location is great, rural yet a lovely walk to Sculthorpe Mill for meal and drinks in the evening. There is also a 2 mile walk via the old rail route to Fakenham
