The Chatsworth Hotel, hotel in East Preston

Superbly situated for Worthing town centre, 19th-century Chatsworth Hotel is a family-run, Grade II Listed building with Georgian frontage overlooking Steyne Gardens.

I enjoyed the classic feel of this hotel and I loved my bedroom, with its high ceiling, tall windows and view of the public gardens opposite. The only thing missing was my MG sports car parked outside 😉

Set within the beautiful grounds of Highdown Gardens, Highdown Hotel is a former manor house offering luxury rooms and a restaurant. Guests can enjoy free WI-Fi access.

Service although not quick, was very good. The staff were clearly working very hard because it was really busy, but htey explained they were doing their best. The food for evening meal and Breakfast was good and fairly priced. The room was comfortable and clean. Great gardens, leading to open land where the dogs could run free.

We were so close to a good choice of food . First night ( Monday) opted for local takeaway which did the trick . Next we tried Reema fantastic Indian cuisine. Another night went to the Seaview Hotel . Brilliantly meal and great wine . Totally recommend Grub and Gumption for breakfast they seem to cover many dietary needs .

East Preston is maybe a little big to call a village but it certainly has a very villagey feel, with Boules on the Green, and 2 very traditional pubs, as well as The Seaview where I stayed, which is excellent and has a lovely pub garden. There is a small supermarket, an excellent card and gift shop, and plenty of restaurants and cafes. The beach walks are brilliant, being placed about halfway between Worthing and Littlehampton.
