Grand hotel in nice grounds in an excellent location (adjoining the railway station and a 7 minute walk over one of the bridges into historic York centre) at an acceptable price. Good facilities including pool, gym and spa, reasonably priced bar and restaurant. Excellent parking facilities at a price on par with the city centre. Nicely decorated room with lovely bathroom. Helpful, cheerful staff.
Situated on the banks of the River Ouse, The Queens Hotel is ideally located for the many shops, restaurants and bars that the centre of York has to offer.
Ideally situated, family-run Wheatland Lodge Hotel offers good value accommodation, just a 5-minute walk from York Train Station and a 10-minute walk from York's historic centre.

The hotel was in a great location. Lovely, friendly staff. Beer garden was nice to relax in the evening under patio heaters and the wood fired pizza was excellent

Room was fine although compact and a bit tired compared with Travelodge and Premier, with a small double bed ( not had less than a king size bed in a hotel room for many years!) Also old fashioned warm air heater which we switched on on arrival as it was getting cold. - I suppose it’s more cost effective than central heating. Room had everything we needed and was comfortable enough for one night but I’ve had better rooms for cheaper. However excellent power shower and a very good breakfast included in price made it better value.
Easily accessible to York by bus or car. Surrounding areas are very pretty and All amenities in this lovely village are easy to get to. The cottage is on the Main Street but it isn’t very noisy. Shops pub and bakery are all within easy walking distance.
It’s located just outside York which was perfect for our needs .Extremely clean and comfortable Owner even leaves a little welcome basket beautiful property and farming area so quiet at night Easy to access
Chatted with the owner they are a wonderful couple
easy access to the highway close by to go anywhere
