The hotel was clean, the Wi-Fi was excellent, there was a good desk in the room and I was able to work efficiently. The location was convenient for the conference I was attending and within walking distance of the station - a pleasant walk along the footpaths beside the tramway.
The breakfast was good and I particularly liked that you had nice big teapots at breakfast!

In general terms, Dronfield was pretty ideally placed for the access to Sheffield which was our main purpose, But we arrived on the day the clocks had gone back, after dark and in intermittent rain. We found Dronfield surprisingly difficult to navigate, and in fact never really got the hang of it. It's an intricate little town, and could do with better direction signage.

It was a lovely cozy cottage in a quiet spot with parking right outside. The bathroom was modern and the bedroom was spacious. The bed was large and very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed to self-cater.
The staff were easily available if we had any questions and lovely & helpful.
It is in a good location to access the popular attractions in Derbyshire and the local pub/restaurant welcomes dogs.

The cottage was comfortable and clean.
The cottage was comfortable and clean. Enjoyed visiting the old pubs in Dronfield. Was close to where our children live, which is in Newbold, Chesterfield, so it made for lovely get-togethers. The inclement weather kept us from the garden area but then again, it was early April. But the fireplace was cozy on those cold & rainy nights.

Dronfield is just outside the Peak District so it has not been spoilt by commercialisation but close enough to walking and to Sheffield. 1 mile from the ONLY community run brewery in the UK which is very friendly, plus The Dronfield Arms has a brewery in the basement and The Underdog next door has a huge range of interesting beer. Sainsbury’s and Aldi close to the centre of town. Whilst not particularly photogenic, the town feels very real and has good train connectivity. Recommended for a week or so.

For a small place it has a good variety of restaurants, pubs and amenities. It also an ideal base to visit the Derbyshire dales and surrounding area plus it is close to Sheffield for serious shopping.
Ideal if you want to explore the area, or like us, visit relatives in Sheffield. No noisy wedding parties or party goers as can happen in a hotel. No struggle to park, but a rural location convenient for larger conurbations. The ability to self cater. You control the heating and the basics for catering are there on arrival.
The decor was delightful as was our charming hostess.
Peaceful location in the heart of Dronfield. The barn was spotlessly clean and deceptively spacious. Fully equipped large kitchen and utility room. The owner provided a welcome food pack which was much appreciated. Off road parking which was fine for one estate car but it would be a struggle to fit a second vehicle into the awkward sloping space.
A gorgeous property & a location that was perfect for us, within walking distance to our family in Dronfield, also shops & station.
Although by the station & in the middle of Dronfield it was very quiet.
A short drive out to the Peak District, an area we love to visit.
A lovely welcome package awaited in the kitchen.
A very comfortable and well appointed cottage within striking distance of some excellent walking. Sympathetically renovated old property finished to a very high standard. Dronfield is not over developed and has excellent pubs and two breweries and a distillery in walking distance.
the appartment was wonderfull, its location suited us perfectly. Sue my partners brother has moved to Dronfield last year, so we will be making more visits. the only place we will be staying at is Apt 1 in The Old Bank. Cannot thank you or praise you enough, it was BRILL.
We self catered breakfast, nearby shops for essentials, good choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants.
Location spot on for a nostalgic visit to our childhood area and revisiting friends and family.
On the edge of the Peak District, nearby Chesterfield and Sheffield.
Location was great (for us). Near the station into Sheffield and close to our family in Dore. Also it was easy to take nice strolls to the centre of Dronfield and walk to nearby playparks. Easy access to shops and a supermarket either by foot or car.
I liked everything about this hotel, the location was good for exploring the Peak District, and was easy to get to Sheffield and Chesterfield as well. The staff were very nice and helpful, excellent breakfast, and free parking and wi-fi.
Breakfasts were great. The room was clean and well-maintained. We'd arrived after a big snow fall and the staff were very keen to make sure we stayed safe. Good location for places to eat in Dronfield and to get into Sheffield.
convenient for Sheffield city ( 6 mile car drive) but dronfield feels like a rural village. lots of character, we were able to walk into surrounds , also easy access to Peak District national park .
Great location, typical British hotel with small rooms that work. Breakfast was excellent, many locals came in and dined there. it was nice to have a bar for a nightcap
