The location on the promenade was perfect, ferry terminal about 500 feet away and the bus stop to the airport outside the front door. Visitor welcome center inside the ferry terminal and made it easy to get information and maximize my time.
On the scenic Queens Promenade, The Rutland Hotel is an elegant building on the Isle of Man.

Handy for the ferry and for traveling to other towns. The three day travel pass is a great idea and it would have been good to get that information from staff and maybe some leaflets about places of interest.
It was good having the lift.
Nice clean friendly hotel.
Plenty of choice at breakfast . Only dined in once but nice carvery.
Many hotels now have the reuse of towels which makes a lot of sense.

Beautiful, peaceful town. People were very kind and always willing to help, ie - with directions, etc.
Just to add on about The Rutland Hotel - the young man at Reception, Kyle I think his name was, ever so helpful and kind. Nothing was a problem for him to assist with. Cannot remember the names of the other staff members. At breakfast, the staff in there were always willing to help. The night reception staff one night, did get us a drink from the bar when we got back in the evening and found the bar shut. He helped us and put it on our hotel bill. That was really so appreciated by myself and my friend Busi. We probably would stay at this hotel again, unless it’s just about trying the other ones. Overall, it is not a bad hotel at all😊

Douglas and The Isle of Man are well worth a visit.
Douglas and The Isle of Man are well worth a visit. There is so much to see and the transport options to get round the island are varied and interesting. The vintage trains are all with a visit - check timetables as some are limited and finish around 4-5pm. Plan a visit to the Tynwald - the oldest continuous parliament in the world - visits are only on Fridays and Mondays - although there is a public gallery for sittings which happen on some Tuesdays. The Manx Musuem is also worth a visit too.

I used the cinema one evening. The girls at reception were charming and the cinema had a nice feel to it.

Douglas is lovely, it is clean and we loved wander8ng around the streets.
Good signage to find your way around but also nice.to get lost for a while.
We walked around Douglas and used the buses, steam.and electric trains to get around the island.
We had fish and chips while walking along the sea front and ate small plates at Frank Matchams.
Loed it
Cozy hotel located quite conveniently in the middle of the Douglas coast promenade. The bus stop is just a 2 minutes' walk, just like the convenience store. The apartment we stayed at was clean, quite spacious, had a nice view of the hills and the sea and was well equipped - a cooker, dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge, kitchen utensils. We only missed a washing machine. ;-) The beds were a bit soft, but stil comfy. The breakfast was partially a buffet and partially served full English breakfast.
Comfortable, well-adapted house hotel near the waterfront of Douglas, close to bus stops and some good restaurant options. Single room was small but well-organized. Staff was friendly and welcoming, as well as particularly good at communicating when I had a late arrival. Breakfast options were extensive and good-quality. With an early morning departure, staff kindly provided me with a bag of food since I would miss out on breakfast. Lots of tourism information was available in the main hall.
Lisa and Paul were super warm and friendly and helpful. Really a delightful hotel with cosy, comfortable and clean rooms. No complaints at all. And the breakfast was lovely and hit the spot every morning. Great location, right on the Loch Promenade - stone's throw from the beach. There is also a full on high street right behind the hotel plus a number of bars open till late. Highly recommend and if I am back in Douglas again I would stay there again.
The Island is a very welcoming and comfortable hotel run by Celine, Antony and Reanne. Communications from Celine were very good. The rooms are spacious and very clean with very nice showers too!
Breakfast is wonderful, with a range of cereals to a full cooked breakfast and even kippers. The breakfasts were a perfect and welcome start to a busy day at the Isle of Man.
Very good value hotel with large bedroom and bathroom, all spotlessly clean. A basic cereal and toast breakfast, along with tea, coffee and juice, is included. Great location on the Promenade with frequent direct bus to Douglas town centre and the Airport. Short 15 minute walk or bus ride along the sea front to the Manx Electric Railway. My favourite hotel in Douglas.
Perfect location, just off the promenade in Douglas tucked away in a quiet street.
When entering the property the first thing you notice is that the hotel is exceptionally clean and looks freshly decorated throughout.
I had a single room which was cosy and comfortable with en suite.
Excellent value for money for the Isle of Man.
We had a great stay in the Claremont hotel. The view to the Douglas bay along with the Refuge is stunning. The staff was very helpful and went an extra mile to make our stay pleasurable. The rooms are cosy and well-maintained. Once back in Douglas I'll definitely stay there again.
Everything. The location was excellent, the hotel staff were fabulous could not do enough for you. The rooms were lovely and a fab bathroom. Best part was the bar and lovely cocktails 😁and the breakfast was yummy!
Great location on Douglas promenade. Lovely B&B with checkin undertaken at hotel just around the corner. Rooms spotlessly clean, tea & coffee making facilities, and very cosy and extremely comfortable
Spacious room. Bathroom fitted out to high standard. Room was available after an early morning flight. The phone link at reception to neighbouring hotel to check in worked well.
The interior was beautiful but with it being intimate, you can hear everything and everyone. love the historical aspect of the hotel. Breakfast was AMAZING.
The hotel has an excellent location which what I needed for work. The rooms were comfortable and clean which is all I require when working away from home.
