Breakfast was ok, no one to help you when travelling with a toddler.
Not set out for children at all. Like having your child at breakfast felt awkward, my daughter is very well behaved but it felt like we were in the wrong place.
Zero small spoons on the premises! So little mouths have to try and eat cereal with massive spoons, not good.
Ended up with only eating an orange while my breakfast got cold after searching for a spoon.

Breakfast was ok and there was enough choice. The location was good for what I needed and having a restaurant and Costa shop nearby was ok. I didn't have a car so used the bus, which was easily walking distance. Room was comfortable enough.

Again, here, we were in the Abingdon Suite, paid £130 on booking.com. The shower was COLD. I mentioned it to the lady on reception who said we didn't run it for long enough, 10mins should be longenough shouldn't it. The lady had a very unprofessional accusing manor... really!! - in the hostpitality trade for too long maybe. Anyway, We ran the shower and the sink for 10 mins and got no hot water.... But the room is on the very top floor (2nd floor) so choose another room and avoid the reception lady and you should be ok.....

Unfortunately we arrived quite late so not really able to explore the village, though we did have a walk around the grounds of the Abbey. We would have liked to visit the Astin Martin museum though found out it was actually closed on Sundays. Will definitely visit the area again, perhaps in the warmer months.

Very interesting historic village.
Very interesting historic village. Little through traffic thanks to the bypass so quiet. Dorchester Abbey is well worth a visit. Lovely walks all around, lots of footpath signs. A 10 minute easy walk brings you to the bypass where you can catch a frequent bus service into Oxford/Wallingford, and the buses run until early morning!

Beautiful village, lovely room welcoming hosts. Dinner. Although menu was limited the pork with fennel on focaccia was amazing! I quite liked not having a TV.. bed was comfortable ( firm) and shower worked well
We had a lovely room, very characterful and every amenity provided, even including some books and games
Food good with plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner. Hotel beautifully decorated throughout.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of the village, staff were very helpful and accommodating. Rooms spotless and very good facilities. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all delicious; cannot fault anything!
