The B&B was easy to find, the room was clean and functional, it’s self check in so didn’t engage with anyone, albeit the house staff were pleasant enough. The room was clean, with comfy beds and pillows, and a powerful hot shower, there’s a pleasant garden area outside to sit at. There’s a bike wash which is good value for bikers at the adjoining campsite. Parking was okay and felt secure. Good communication before and during stay as well, and easy to gain room access. Coffee and tea making facilities were abundant and reasonable quality, would prefer a mug though…

Nice design and more spacious than we expected. The cabin was well equipped and had a very tranquil outlook with a nice short walk through the woods to the estuary. We also liked meeting the Highland cow and the horses.

Aber Cottage is in the centre of the town. The room was decorated to a high standard, very clean and with everything I needed. The breakfasts were perfectly cooked. The proprietors, Kevin and Caroline, were very friendly, knowledgeable about walking in the area and about the best places to eat and whether you needed to book or not. As I was spending my time in the town walking, it was great to have a secure parking at the back of the house, with the gate locked overnight.

Dolgellau is a rather deprived town which doesn't lend itself to tourism. Having said that it's a good base for exploring the wonderful surrounding countryside. The eateries in the town were ok but nothing special.
The main store was a Co-op which was well stocked.

There are plenty of bistros and pubs in the town. We ate in the Torrent Walk hotel and the food was beautiful and plentiful. There was live music over the weekend in the town which was a great addition.
There are lots of country walks and a short drive to the beach at Barmouth.

Dolgellau is a small but compact town with shops and pubs etc easily accessible. Main car park by the river is on the edge of town but a minutes walk away from the centre. There could be more choice of restaurants and cafes but we found a hotel (The Ship) that served good food.

Beautiful, incredibly preserved small market town.
Beautiful, incredibly preserved small market town. The weather didn't allow us to explore close surroundingds as we wished.
The town itself has got plenty of pubs, cafes, gift shops, art shops.
The people we met so friendly.
The cherry on the cake is a second hand book shop. The books there just incredible!
A lovely cozy traditional cottage in the heart of the town, convenient for all local amenities and discovering the area. Overall the cottage was exceptionally clean and tidy, tastefully decorated and well equipped, with some nice views from a couple of windows. Prior to our stay the owner was helpful and communicative and further provided some very nice "welcome gifts" for when we arrived. Parking was always possible, either in the spaces opposite or a short distance up the road. Overall a fantastic stay.
We had a variety of options for a continental breakfast, which we could consume at our leisure. The location is a manageable walk from the main centre of Dolgellau, which is a pretty and charming town. I wish we had more time to explore the area. The Hall itself is full of character, combining Victorian grandeur and funky design, offering a really unique experience. Our apartment was super spacious. Best of all though, our hosts were generous, warm and friendly people.
Really cute little spot, beautifully kept site, near a petrol station and a Starbucks surprisingly so you've got everything you need. Great base from which to explore Snowdonia/Dolgellau, which itself is a beautiful town. The part of the campsite it's in is separate from everything else and at the top of the hill so you get lots of privacy, including a gate you can close to maximise the peace. The hot tub (once started) is lovely and the hut is very comfy and clean.
Ty Cwtch is a beautiful cottage, stunningly refurbished to an exceptionally high standard but retaining it's natural charm and cosiness. It is warm and comfortable with everything catered for. Nestled in the charming village of Dolgellau, Ty Cwtch is ideally situated for exploring Snowdonia and surrounding areas. Jane made our stay so very special and welcoming and always in contact to ensure we had everything we needed. Thank you Jane !
This B&B was great. Room was really spacious and stylishly furnished. Everything spotless. I can't comment on the full english breafast as I did not order it due to not really being a breakfast person, but I enjoyed the pancakes with bacon. Close to the pubs and places to eat in Dolgellau. Host were lovely.Would highly recommend.
The hosts were friendly, helpful and provided great breakfast. The location was easy to find, brilliant for town amenities including cycle hire, launderette, restaurants and pubs. The room was well maintained, clean and comfortable. Dolgellau is also a very interesting town to visit and the surrounding area is stunning.
Excellent hosts with a really interesting and characterful B&B full of items from their extensive travels. Great location in a quiet area but still very near the centre of Delgellau and all facilities. Lovely views of the surrounding area. Hosts were very accommodating to an early rise, and breakfast was excellent.
Generous hosts. Room had modern decor, well-equipped kitchen, nice breakfast options available, and a comfortable living area. Lots of on-site parking, and Dolgellau is a pretty town to spend time in. The area was quiet, and convenient for hiking in Snowdonia park.
Wonderful house and apartment. Lovely hosts, superb and plentiful food for breakfast, and welcoming Welsh cakes. If I could score this 11 out of 10 I would.
It is a huge apartment and very comfortable. It's a great base for walking or just seeing the local area.
staff very considerate. We had a springer spaniel ( old and quiet dog)with us to stay and the accommodation was ideal. The hotel had a dog friendly area so he could be with us at meal times.
Ideal venue to visit Dolgellau.
On the off set the accommodation was set in a really nice area with lovely scenery. The staff seemed very pleasant (when you could get them) and helpful. The design of the place was nice, just run down in a lot of places.
Remote location. Very peaceful with splendid view of Welsh hills. Access to a number of scenic walks in Dolgellau area. Spacious sitting room for guests with cup of tea upon arrival. Good breakfast
We loved our stay at the Royal Ship. It was a charming hotel in a beautiful quant village. The rooms were clean and comfortable and staff was very friendly. The restaurant was great also.
It was so peaceful, pub and food in walking distance incredible view of the estuary, birds singing. Warm Comfortable and great value for money. Wales at its best , great hosts too .
Clean, comfortable room; comfortable beds; quiet location but close to city; refrigerator available: petrol station with minimart nearby; ample parking onsite; helpful staff
