I have previously stayed in the hotel and eaten several times over the years before. The location is beautiful, and the grounds lovely. I stayed in the annexe for the first time and the standard toom was good value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful when I found them.
It is a good community feel in the hotel and I know the new owners are working hard to encourage this and I hope to revisit soon .

Central for the shops, quick walk to the train station, bed was comfortable, the gentleman on reception at night was lovely and even gave a wee leaflet for my wee one to get sweets from the shop across the way. Decent sized room.

I used to live here so only visiting family, unless you are here for the railway heritage there is not a lot to see in the town, but it is like most towns that we visit empty shops a sense of depreciation everywhere.

Darlington is a vibrant northern town with a big future.
Darlington is a vibrant northern town with a big future. You only have to look at the developments at the train station, and the fact part of the treasury is relocating there. A bigger brighter future for darlo awaits.

It was beautiful with lots of interesting history & it's got beautiful grounds which would be beautiful in the summer so can't wait to plan another trip to The George in the summer time. The room was very clean & had everything we needed. The only negative I have is we had to ask about information about meals etc but the staff were more than helpful

Quiet town with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Local recreation and sightseeing, major train depot. I had good weather while I was there, nearly everything you need is within walking distance of most hotels.

The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful.
The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful. The boss is prepared to do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, he really is a top man! The facilities are faultless, everywhere is clean and tidy. The kitchen has tea and coffee facilities, and can be used whenever needed, (obviously taking other guests into consideration)
My partner and I have stayed here twice now and would not stay anywhere else, we have found somewhere that's comfortable friendly professional and above all else brilliant value for money.
We are back in January!
I've stayed here several times it worked out cheaper than the nearest Premier Inn so it was no contest Its a lovely hotel just outside of Darlington. Staff at check in check out very friendly and helpful The standard rooms have everything you need and the whole place is clean and tidy. You can upgrade to go into the old Castle rooms which are bigger than the wing. The parking is free and there is plenty of it. Breakfast is cooked as you like it and there is a good selection of Continental choices too.
The room had good heating and lighting, and the walk in shower ( room 3) was great. Bed comfortable, and cupboard either side of bed a good idea!
Bus stop opposite, to Northallerton, easy travel as we left car behind, and took train from King's Cross to Darlington. Taxi to hotel.
All staff helpful and friendly, and special thanks to John who looked after us very well!
You could not fault this hotel for location, cleanliness, staff, food, comfort, facilities. The ONLY thing that the hotel didn't have was parking, but as it is so close to the station, and to the town, a car was completely superfluous in order to enjoy Darlington.
The hotel is very clean and tidy. Good location close to Darlington and different activities for families ie ten pin bowling, skating.
Staff were helpful and friendly especially the gentleman with the glasses at the front desk was so friendly, helpful.
The breakfasts and the dinner we had at the hotel were brilliant. I want the Chef's pasta sauce recipe please! This is my 3rd stay in this hotel, every time I come to UK I stay here! Restaurant staff were really nice!
Nothing wen you have people living in there permanent from housing benefit it's not a hotel it is a hostel would like my money back we should of stayed 2 nights but left after 1st nite
Hotel excellent, food in the restaurant for dinner, very good. Staff good. In an excellent position for roads and visit to Darlington. The room was excellent bathroom modern and new.
Nice apartment in a good location for the centre of Darlington, with everything you need. Easy access and seamless booking process. Bathrobes a nice touch.
