We loved the fresh clean modern room and excellent bathroom with a bath. The host was extremely generous with excellent quality toiletries as well as chocolates, drinks and a proper coffee maker. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was exceptional.

We had a fantastic stay at the Gables. Angus is an entertaining host who was there to welcome us on our arrival. We were made to feel at home. The house is beautifully maintained and the furniture comfortable and in keeping with the style of the house. Our room was huge. The bed is bespoke and equally as vast as the room.
Our breakfast was well cooked and the produce local.
Angus' recommendations were very helpful. His suggestion to extend our planned walk to take in even better views paid off.
We had a great time at the Gables and would recommend it for short stays similar to our visit or to use as a base for a longer trip to explore the amazing landscape that surrounds the area.

The Cedar Lodge was so cute in a nice tranquil lakeside setting, such a quiet place to relax and chill within a good distance to the coast too. Was nice as only 2 other lodges on the lake and they are separated apart.
Hopefully book again.

Being en route from Inverness to Cornwall, I didn't get to see much of the surrounding area. Lovely part of the country though with plenty of local attractions - the Tweed, stately homes etc. Worth exploring further. Crookham itself has a couple of farms, a pub and the Coachhouse B + B [very good].
Couldn't find any flamenco!

Crookham was in the countryside and very beautiful but there is nothing to do. We ate in the restaurant 5 minutes walk from the b & b and the food was lovely, highly recommend it. Stop if you can at a small village called Ford you will be very pleasantly surprised at how lovely it is.
