Pantile Lodge, hotel in Crookham

Featuring free WiFi, Pantile Lodge offers accommodation in Milfield, near Wooler. Rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV. Some units have a seating area to relax in after a busy day.

This was our second stay at Pantile Lodge. It is an ideal half way stop from Yorkshire to Perthshire Scotland. The double room was warm and spacious. There is a magnificent set of welcome goodies: crisps, chocolate, assorted biscuits such as Blue Riband or KitKat etc. A coffee maker with pods as well as tea, fresh milk and instant coffee, water, ginger beer and cloudy lemonade will satisfy every thirst. Everything was clean and comfortable, especially the sofa. The absolute best part of a stay here has to be breakfast. My partner and i have healthy appetites but we had to ask for small portions of the yoghurt and berries or porridge. The cooked breakfast lacks nothing: quality bacon and sausage; eggs however you like them, excellent black pudding; tomatoes, mushrooms and beans, and any amount of toast, butter and jam/marmalade. Fruit juice is also available. It's a great start to any day. Parking is outside the access to the Lodge and there is a private sitting area just outside the door should the weather be kind. The owners can't do enough to ensure you have everything you might need. Thoroughly to be recommended!

East Learmouth Lakeside Lodges, hotel in Crookham

Boasting quiet street views, East Learmouth Lakeside Lodges provides accommodation with patio, around 24 km from The Maltings Theatre & Cinema.

The privacy and the hot tub were the most important factors. Compact cabin with lots of useful kitchen gadgets. The 3 single beds suited a small family. Nice and warm, held the heat well. Plenty places to walk and visit near by. Lovely post office in nearest village with a good bakery.

The Gables Luxury Bed & Breakfast, hotel in Crookham

The Gables is set in 2 acres of gardens outside Duddo, surrounded by the Cheviot Hills. This family-run bed and breakfast is housed in a charming Victorian villa, once a vicarage.

The gables is situated approximately 15 minutes from Berwick -on-Tweed. We received a very warm welcome including tea and cake. The Gables is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with period furniture. The bedroom is spacious and the bed is large and comfortable. Guests have the added use of a comfortable lounge with beautiful views. Breakfast is made to order at a time you require it. Angus has a wealth of historical and local knowledge of the area. Angus and Claire are proud to invite you into their home and rightly so. Luxury?? Most definitely!!

Being en route from Inverness to Cornwall, I didn't get to see much of the surrounding area. Lovely part of the country though with plenty of local attractions - the Tweed, stately homes etc. Worth exploring further. Crookham itself has a couple of farms, a pub and the Coachhouse B + B [very good]. Couldn't find any flamenco!

Crookham was in the countryside and very beautiful but there is nothing to do. We ate in the restaurant 5 minutes walk from the b & b and the food was lovely, highly recommend it. Stop if you can at a small village called Ford you will be very pleasantly surprised at how lovely it is.

I was there for business so didn't see much of the area but I walked up to the local church where there was an amazing Peace and Reconciliation Garden (it is near the Flodden battlefield). It was a wonderful experience - the garden was lovely and the timeline of war and peace was fascinating.
