Cley is the perfect location for country and coastal walks.

Cley is the perfect location for country and coastal walks. There is a very good bus service; we used the bus to visit Sheringham and Blakeney. There are some good pubs/restaurants within walking distance; we enjoyed eating at the George and Dragon & the three swallows.

My dad was born in North Norfolk, I have been going nearly every year since 1974 always will love North Norfolk. Cley next the sea is a beautiful place to stay, Ideal for walks, bird watching, dog walking and all sorts of stuff. If you cannot stay in Cley all the other villages near by are just has lovely. You have 3 shopping villages on the the bus route or by car near by. Wells next the sea, Sherringham and Cromer all are worth a visit. Inland by car you could visit Holt another great visit. You can get on the Steam Train Poppy line from Sherringham to Holt or Holt to Sherringham.

Beautiful buildings, historic village, very near to the sea and to the Norfolk Wildlife Centre. We enjoyed an evening meal at the Harnser and the second night an evening meal at the George & Dragon. the nearby Norfolk Wildlife Centre has an excellent café. Be sure to visit the church which is very beautiful and interesting.

Beautiful Norfolk village with many local places to visit.

Beautiful Norfolk village with many local places to visit. A seal trip out of Blakeney is a must. Cley's church is well worth a visit as is Burnham Market, Holt and other local villages. The salt marshes and nature reserve are stunning, especially when the weather is good. There are several good restaurants in the vicinity and we ate at the George and Dragon public house as well as The Harnser both of whom do delicious food.

The 3 swallows in cley , was a lovely pub and friendly staff. We found our room to be compact but warm and clean. We also eat at the restaurant which was good but my partners foods wasn’t great. Now as much as we noticed a few things that we didn’t like, we had to take into consideration that the landlord/owner had only been In charge for 2 weeks, I wound encourage people to go and have a meal and stay at the 3 swallows, because I believe it could become a jewel in the crown for the area and for jobs.

A beautiful little village, partly on the coast with views from the Windmill and across the marshes - very evocative. Then an area inland with a pub, village green and splendid medieval church. Easy to walk round and to pick up the path - including the coastal path. We walked to Blakeney, the next village and caught the Coasthopper bus back. Meanwhile some wonderful shops in the village - a gallery, pottery shop and delicatessen among them. Absolutely loved it - and our accommodation was just great
