Beautifully furnished room in keeping with the remainder of the building. Mine was a fleeting visit and I failed to sample the bar and restaurant but I'd gladly stay again to do so.

Nice bar and restaurant, friendly staff, brilliant location for cycling the King Alfred's Way cycle route. There are facilities for hosing down your bike (KAW is a lot off-road) and they allow you to store bike in room.

Our visit was to catch up with relatives and revisit places from our childhoods and to visit the church where family are buried. Chiddingfold is a good starting point for us. We ate in The Crown, the food was very good.
We loved the fact that the hotel is so old, dating back to the 15th century or even earlier in some parts. It has real character. The bar area by the inglenook fireplace was perfect for relaxing with a drink after a long drive. The quality of the food in the evening and at breakfast was superb: very well served and beautifully presented.
Nicely restored, centuries old building, but with all the expected idiosyncrasies….sloping floors, low doorways and ceilings, narrow stairs, no lift. The restaurant was excellent, food delicious, varied menu. Breakfast options were good. The location in the village of Chiddingfold was perfect for us.
It’s a fantastic little hideaway, it was clean, comfortable, tucked away enough that you feel like you’re in your own little world, but with nice places to go and eat not far away at all, little touches make it less of a hotel vibe and more like a home away from home…I love it!
I only stayed for one night as I was attending a wedding locally, but I was shown every kindness and comfort by the hotel. My room was very comfortable with Egyptian cotton sheets and feather pillows. I wanted for nothing. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
we loved the historical value of this beautiful old inn and pub. The bed was comfortable. The staff was nice and informative. the owner Hannah gave us a lot of history. Our room had a beautiful 4 poster bed and a separate sitting room. the pub is amazing too!
The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The addition of a table fan was a nice touch for added comfort during the summer. The inn had also prepared the baby cot before our arrival, which not many hotels do. The breakfast and dinner were excellent.
Fab old Inn style hotel. Warm welcome and helpful staff. We had a ‘Cosy Double’, but room was spacious, bright, beautifully presented & great shower room. Breakfast absolutely delicious. Great little overnight stay and countryside getaway.
A cosy pub/restaurant/hotel, serving lovely food. It’s a great place to stay if you’re traveling with a dog. The staff were all friendly and helpful. For a village pub/restaurant it does get busy, which is nice.
The evening meal was very good, i only wanted a light meal so perfect. Staff very friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking behind the hotel and over the road(needs care to cross it)
The hotel is very old and has lots of character. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the room was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
The size of the room, the air conditioning, the beds were comfortable, the location of the hotel and car park. The assistance with the room at check in
This lovely hotel never changes. It’s the hub of the village and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Ancient historic beamed building is wonderful.
