Location was great - a short walk across the bridge to Chepstow. The space was on the small side, but great for 2 people. The view of Chepstow castle from the back garden is awesome.

Caerleon and Caerwent these are amazing for history lovers.
The gardens and grottoes at Dewstow were a revelation we had a marvellous time there.

The castle and architecture, particularly at that end of town, is nice and the setting lovely. Tintern Abbey is a 6 mile bus ride away and well worth seeing. Unfortunately, you can't walk along the River Wye to it; the designated walk takes you well away from the river on both banks, though this is somewhat due to sheer cliffs! Not much else to see and do in the immediate area and no Sunday buses, so a better midweek break or day trip than a weekend break for non-drivers like myself.
I go for the Chepstow Wassail and Mari Lwyd event on a Saturday in January and tend to stop off elsewhere on the route home on the Sunday because there's no way to get anywhere locally.

Evening meal we had in the bar area, which we appreciated had a limited menu, three of us ordered chicken burger, which too over 30 minutes to arrive, the chicken was tough and over cooked. Taxi was extortionate costing £29.00 to go less than 3 miles - recommended by the hotel! Service is poor when the hotel is full - they do not cope well.

We didn’t go into Chepstow as we were there for the races on 24 th August. It was a perfect stay. The apartment was perfect in every way. Only needed food but the farm shop had all needs.
There wasn’t a pub but take own or buy in farm shop.
Lovely view towards the river.

Very pretty small town with lots of pubs, cafes and eating places to choose from. The beautiful castle set on the river is obviously a big attraction and Chepstow is a great base to visit many other places. Tintern Abbey is just up the road and Raglan Castle is a must see.

Chepstow is a delightful town with many interesting attractions not the best is undoubtedly Chepstow Castle. It has been fantastically well preserved and the wonder of Tintern Abby is a must for anyone staying in or near Chepstow.
Several different types of restaurants including a gem of an Italian one at the bottom of the town just below Chepstow bridge
superb location, very grand looking building as you arrive at reception. we were located in the mathern building which was a good location for access to both the hotel and a short 2minute walk to the pool. Cant actually fault anything, staff were all very friendly, room was clean, breakfast buffet was excellent, views of the golf course from our room. Ample parking, great pool temp too which is important! Easy access to Chepstow and surrounding areas, great base if your are going and arent a golfer. Would return for sure.
Excellent location and obviously a well loved business by the owner. Never slept in a 4 poster before! Loved all the 'old fashioned' features. We were pleased we were away from the town centre as we think that would have been noisy. Although we weren't in the town centre, it's a very short walk to town and an even shorter walk to the bridge and river and two lovely restaurants. We especially requested a castle view room, and although this was at the front, it was quiet, especially once the pub over the road had closed.
I liked that it was so clean and comfortable, the amenities were great and the price was excellent. It was right near the town centre and right on the main road. It fet very secure and very well organised and I loved the shower. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very well layed out and have everything you could need for a short stay.
The hotel is right in front of Chepstow Castle where we went for the Hawkwind show so it was very convenient and has a nice beer garden out back. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast the next morning was awesome. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.
The guest house is in a good location at the centre of Chepstow. The restaurant is nice and the pizzas are really first class. Room prices are very reasonable. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating and were all very nice.
I LOVED this accommodation. It was so lovely, clean, quiet and such an amazing area of Sedbury. The beds were so comfortable, the facilities were beyond what we expected and it felt like home away from home.
Cosy, friendly Inn with open fire, amazing pies on the menu each day.
Our room was very comfortable, with good facilities and powerful shower.
Well located close to town centre and castle.
No breakfast. Bed very comfortable and kitchen good if needed. Tea/coffee facilities in room welcome! Very clean. Convenient for the Drill Hall and Town Centre.
Booked last min turned up half hour later and no complaints from me nice location and nice and clean room breakfast was good will deffo use again if in the area
Very comfortable and roomy. The common area is a bonus with a full kitchen for guests use and a front parlor area too. Lots of character and a great location.
