The room was excellent, luxurious and clean and fresh. The bath in particular was brilliant! Biggest bath I’ve ever been in. The staff member who greeted me was warm and friendly and there was an excellent four legged staff member who was very enthusiastic about their role!

Breakfast (extra) was very good - available at 8.00 am which suited us fine. There was a restaurant serving food in the evenings as well. The location was great - some country lanes in the immediate vicinity but easy access to all parts of Norfolk. Good choice of beers too! And a pleasant beer garden too!

This 2 night stay was a surprise visit. When entering we had to give a credit card but we didn’t know this and I had no money left on it 😂I was worried they wouldn’t let us stay but they were fine about it I got some cash on my card and was able to sort this later in the evening. As this was a surprise we really wanted to have the best relaxing time and have a massage. Didn’t know you had to book in advance but talking to the lovely staff they arranged it for the next day all out of work hours when they should have been relaxing . This for me was why I will go back time and time again and with my family and dog. Truly 5 stars well worth it.

Booking.com need to realiise that Caston is a tiny village,...
Booking.com need to realiise that Caston is a tiny village, with one main street called The St. one church and one pub, a village hall and a primary school and no shops.
Sending repeated emails encouraging visitors to book a taxi or hire a car to be able to "Explore Caston" was totally inappropriate and incredibly annoying.
This is the fault of Booking.com web site systems but there needs to be some flag that can be set for tiny locations where the email offers are only going to annoy visitors. Otherwise you could be setting up false expectations.
