Ideally located in Cardiff, Parador 44 offers air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace.

David's wife Ruth is writing this review as I booked our stay. Good location within walking distance of train station. Honesty Bar and outside seating very much appreciated. A breath of fresh air to be trusted! Shower perfect. Staff second to none. I suffer from claustrophobia and the room first allocated was around too many twists and turns, around corners, up and down stairs with no windows anywhere. I asked for a room close to the exit which was immediately sorted with no fuss whatsoever by a very understanding young lady. Greatly appreciated by me.

FAQs about hotels in Cardiff

The Pride of Wales

Capital of Wales, Cardiff is a wonderfully green city steeped in national pride. At its heart is enormous Bute Park, divided by the River Taff and named after the marquis that once lived in Cardiff Castle overlooking it. In fact, this is just one of 5 castles within the surrounding area.

Over the road is Cathays Park, a beautiful square flanked by Edwardian architectural masterpieces including Cardiff City Hall and the excellent National Museum of Wales. Another must-see is St Fagan’s National History Museum, one of Britain’s top attractions.

From Victorian arcades to the fabulous St David’s Centre, shopping in Cardiff is a delight. And there’s no shortage of pubs and restaurants in which to rest awhile. Those by Cardiff Bay offer particularly pleasant views.

Also by the bay are the futuristic National Assembly for Wales and the Wales Millennium Centre. Another year 2000 landmark is the Millennium Stadium, a state-of-the-art venue for international rugby and football matches, as well as concerts. Next door is Cardiff Arms Park, home to the city’s rugby union team, while Cardiff City FC’s new stadium is in the west.

Cardiff Airport is further west near Barry and Booking.com have an excellent range of hotels, B&Bs and apartments both near there and in the city centre.

Went for pride and it was amazing. Always have loved Cardiff and definitely good place to go for day party and shopping. The bay is beautiful and got so many eateries. I personally didn’t find it good for a night out expensive clubs with£20 entrance fee which is think is really expensive.

Cardiff is lovely so much to see and do. Only thing off putting is the amount of beggers asking us for money all the time. Some of the footpaths are bit dangerous and causes a few trip hazards. However the Welsh people were lovely that we met all v kind.

    Cardiff is a walkable City.

Cardiff is a walkable City. Plenty of pubs & clubs with music. We went to Glassworks Pub for dinner one night & it was a very sociable pub with the locals filling the place for drinks after work. By about 7:30 they had left & it was a bit quieter. Our accommodation had a kitchen so we were able to heat or cook some meals. Breakfast was also at home so we only had to buy lunch if we wanted. People are friendly & helpful. Nice place to visit.

It's a great place to come with your friends and do some shopping and have a girly lunch. In the evening you have a choice of staying in the city centre which has lots of bars and restaurants or to go to the bay which again has a good choice of both.

This is a fantastically located hotel that is family run by the sweetest couple ever. Great commication and suggestions for places to go and eat. 24/7 reception. Great room. Right on the main city center Street and only two blocks or so from Cardiff Castle, but somehow not noisy when I finally got to bed. Best nights sleep since I arrived in the UK 5 days ago! Also fantastic price. Thank you so much and when I am back in the area I will try to stay here every time!

Location was excellent, right in the city of Cardiff. We were attending a wedding in the city and asked for early check in, if possible to allow us to get ready. They were able to honour it with no problems at all. Very much appreciated. Parking facilities were good as most city centres don’t have on site parking, this one does and is cheaper than other hotels.

The area itself is beautiful, peaceful, clean and it is very close to the city centre and Cardiff Bay. The hotel was very clean and modern. We went to a gig at Cardiff Bay so the location was ideal for us, but it was also only a 10 minute cab to the city centre. The price we paid for the property was excellent and it was a very nice touch leaving a bottle of Prosecco for us on arrival. All the beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of space to go about our days.
