Room was very spacious and recently refurbished. It is part of a busy pub and we initially were concerned about noise but it did not worry us at all.

The shops sell basics only, but good range of shopping in nearby Bridport. The post office/ farm shop sells excellent quality local produce (amongst the best sausages ever).
There is a superb bus service travelling between all the coastal resorts, West Bay, Bridport, Weymouth etc. Sone of the buses are open top and this is a lovely way to see the wonderful scenery.
The Hive cafe on the beach is great.
This is a good place to visit with a dog. Plenty of places for walks and exercise - dogs are allowed on part of the beach.
Not for those who want nightlife, or entertainment, but was ideal for us. We love it and can’t wait to go again.
