Traditional British breakfast well cooked with many options and choice available. Excellent restaurant for an evening meal should you require it with a wide choice of food available including fresh local sea fish. We used the restaurant twice and had faultless meals fairly priced. Great variety on the specials board as well.

The Bridge House, hotel in Burton Bradstock

Situated in Bridport, just 5 minutes’ drive from the coast, we offers free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Weymouth can be reached in 30 minutes by car.

A beautiful period house decorated in keeping with its age and full of interest. Our room was well appointed, dinky but we expected that. It was lovely, clean and warm. The owners and staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast offering was excellent, a good choice of fruit, cereal, hot drinks etc and the cooked breakfast menu was extensive and catered for all tastes. The vegetarian option was first class. Located a 5 minute walk into the main town we found this perfect, close to restaurants, coffee shops etc but away from the hustle and bustle. A bus stop was just opposite the hotel if you didn’t want to use the car for exploring. The hotel had a handy car park for guest use and the pretty garden was a quiet haven for relaxing with a bar facility. There was also a communal guest lounge for guests to use.All in all the Bridge House was the perfect choice for us.

It is stunningly beautiful. Fantastic scenery and walks.

It is stunningly beautiful. Fantastic scenery and walks. Friendly, helpful people, beach, riverside, stunning cottages, rich wildlife. The shops sell basics only, but good range of shopping in nearby Bridport. The post office/ farm shop sells excellent quality local produce (amongst the best sausages ever). There is a superb bus service travelling between all the coastal resorts, West Bay, Bridport, Weymouth etc. Sone of the buses are open top and this is a lovely way to see the wonderful scenery. The Hive cafe on the beach is great. This is a good place to visit with a dog. Plenty of places for walks and exercise - dogs are allowed on part of the beach. Not for those who want nightlife, or entertainment, but was ideal for us. We love it and can’t wait to go again.

Small place with few amenities, but great views and beautiful place for walking. Local pub just 2 miles away called the crown, great food and friendly welcome. The Freshwater caravan park is cosy with ten pin bowling, indoor pool, outdoor pool, shop, cafe and evening entertainment, more for kids to do than adults. West bay is a 20 minute walk though not safe by night as coastal path, taxi was £8 each way.

The location was great but the property is not suitable for overseas travellers. There were no towels provided and no instructions as to the hot water system, heating, etc. The reception staff were not very helpful. I would not recommend this property.

The location was perfect if you want to explore the beach the surroundings villages, having long walks or just admire the scenery, this place is perfect! So much to visit in the area, plenty of choices. The park have a very good facilities, especially the indoor pool for the kids, the outdoor pool was under refurbishment. The caravan where we stayed was spotless and very conformable for the four of us (two childrens) We chose a three bedroom one.
