Amazing hotel! The attention to detail is insane. Quirky lighting and decor, pick n mix, additional milk and water for the room, wellies and umbrellas for walks in the rain. The room was stunning, comfortable with the most amazing bathroom. We had a fantastic breakfast in bed. The staff were all brilliant, so calm and friendly providing the most excellent service.

George Hotel & Granary, hotel in Buckland Dinham

George Hotel & Granary is a 4-star property set in Frome. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a bar. The accommodation provides free WiFi.

The property was in a convenient spot in the middle of town with garage parking. The rooms were clean and well appointed with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and water as well as television. There was a good range of food on the menu for most tastes. We arrived on Sunday evening and were still able to have a roast dinner if we wanted. Good breakfast buffet with hot food if wanted. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The Lighthouse, hotel in Buckland Dinham

The Lighthouse is a beautiful listed property offering 4-star accommodation near Frome, within the gently rolling Somerset countryside.

We received the warmest welcome from Rowena, the general manager. It is rare to feel genuinely valued as a customer, but Rowena reversed that on this occasion. The hotel is in the rolling countryside, with a stately-style main building and many outbuildings. The interior decor is stylish, with the most impressive interior doors. Also, there is a cafe within the complex. We loved the lounge in our hotel area, including a piano and relaxing furniture. Our superior room was impressive and great value for money. Breakfast was served at the exact time arranged the previous evening. There was a slight mishap in one part of the order, but nothing tainted the impressive stay overall. I highly recommend The Lighthouse and would most definitely stay there again.

An ideal location to local attractions - Frome was worth a visit & has a railway station which was ideal so had a trip to Weymouth on the train a lovely day. Also a few National Trust properties close by such as Stourhead -which is Definitely worth a visit . Also Longleat.with The Fleet air arm museum a bit further away but worth the effort
