Although a self-catering property, there were plenty of choices for breakfast with cereals, bread, preserves and pains au chocolate together with a great coffee machine (though we're took advantage of the tea!)
The Orangery is set in lovely grounds around one mile from the village of Thurning. This beautifully restored property is housed in restored red-brick outbuildings.

Excellent accomodation, more of a self contained cottage than a B&B with own kitchen and continental breakfast provided. Warm and dry after abandoning our very wet camping trip ! Hot tub was an added luxury. Good value for money for family of 4.

The breakfast was first class and set us up for the day. It provided a full compliment of cereals, etc., and this was followed by a number of options for a cooked breakfast. Very good indeed.
The rooms were well proportioned and provided everything required for a comfortable stay. Attention to detail both in the room and the communal areas (plus the garden) were excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient.
Location was not too far from other areas worth visiting but some of the roads were very narrow if you ventured off the main highways.
Briston is a small village in a rural setting. Probably not somewhere you would want to holiday as there is not a lot going on there; however, it is located very close to the North Norfolk Coast (Cromer, Wells, Sheringham, etc) so is ideally suited to base yourself there and then travel around, which is what we did. Perfect location to visit and travel around North Norfolk. We had a lovely stay at the Three Horseshoes and would certainly go back there - great place to stay and staff very friendly and helpful.

Briston village itself wasn’t much but the Three Horse shoes was on the outskirts of the village . You would definitely need a car to reach the popular towns and places of interest in the area .
The Three Horse shoes is a very attractive inn .

Basic shopping in the village with a well-stocked Co-Op and Post Office. We ate twice at the Explorer Bar which is close to the cottage, good pub food in a fairly small pub. No starters but a good selection of main courses and four or five specials on the night.
