This property was excellent in all aspects but the cleanliness was outstanding and the breakfast was superb. The owners also accommodated our request for an early check in which was very helpful.

Everything. As a petrol head the PitStop is my dream B&B. It is in an actual Morgan dealership. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the bathroom was large with a wet room style shower. The american diner/breakfast room is a work of art with lots of Morgan memorabilia on the walls and even the windows are from the original Morgan factory. The attention to detail is fantastic. Melvyn, Sindy and their family are very welcoming and great hosts. There are lots of pubs and restaurants in the local area for evening meals. We shall be returning soon in our classic car to attend a near by show.

Very comfortable room, easy check-in. Staff communicated very well. I was very unwell on the day, so the free bottles of water were a much welcomed surprise.

This charming, quiet town has lovely canal walks and a large public park next to the town centre. The high street has good eateries and nice little shops. Don't miss the Coffee House Cafe, with it's great sandwiches and all-day cooked breakfast!
If you want to explore further the helpful staff in the central tourist office will suggest various self guided historic walks.
It is a perfect spot to overnight only a 15 minute drive from Stansted airport (and is NOT on the flight path, so no noise of passing planes), and easily reached by public bus #510 (or #509) which runs a regular service to and from the town even at night.

Bishops Stortford is a lovely old town which is relatively compact so it is easy to walk around the town centre. There is a good range of shops and quaint tea rooms and excellent restaurants. There’s a river and the station is close to the town centre. It can be a bit noisy especially on Saturday evenings.

Bishop's Stortford is a very picturesque town with friendly people who seem disposed to being welcoming and helpful to travellers. We were only passing through on our way from Stansted Airport to London, nevertheless, we enjoyed visiting the town and would have liked to have stayed a little longer to explore it a bit more

I had limited time to explore the town but I enjoyed walking around on Saturday and noting the mixture of the old historic architecture and the new building. There were plenty of options to eat or stop for a drink.

Lovely little town.
Lovely little town. We was just staying overnight for the Standon Calling Festival and it’s perfect location for anyone going to this. Just about 20 minutes in a taxi from the site. Lots of pubs and nice coffee shops for breakfast the next day. Nice quaint little town with plenty to do.

As we were arriving late and leaving before dawn for an early flight, our experience was limited but excellent nonetheless. Super room lovingly created in art deco style with some period features and good replica pieces where originals were unavailable. But the kitchen was worth the visit in itself. The owners have gone over and above in fitting out this extraordinary space where all your needs are catered for on a self-service basis. We chose the hotel for its proximity to Stansted airport but wish we could have stayed longer.
Stayed here to visit my brother in the area. It's an absolutely beautiful hotel . Very quirky, I loved all the pictures and quotes all around the hotel . We stayed in room 21 ground floor which was a really good size room with such an amazing, big, comfy bed . We visited the bar and met the owner Brandon he was very friendly and did make us laugh with his jokes
The pub does have entertainment on most nights, which is good and specialises in weddings
Overall, I would definitely come back again
Thank you for having us x
All over, I do agree with the previous comments. You get what you pay.Its best price in this area, very quick way to/from airport, both ways, train ( than you have to walk a bit, ) or taxi. The taxi hotel suggested was half price what we would a pay otherwise.
Beds is very comfortable, rooms is clean, just needs to change a carpeting and refresh furniture because it's looks like it been there since hotel welcomed guests first time, in 14th century 😀 .very central, all shops just around.
Exactly as expected for the price of accommodation. Very clean, comfortable, TV worked fine, shower was lovely stand out for me was the charming staff at the pub. I think the gent was called Adam, friendly bloke and offered advice for the local area.
Bishops Stortford is a nice little town with everything you would need.
If in the area I’d use this accommodation again.
Perfect for an overnight stay. Economical use of a small space. Welcome pack of milk/fruit/biscuits a nice touch. Electric fan was a result as stay was during the heatwave. 10 min walk from town centre. Park directly opposite to walk the dog round. Recommend the Dogs Head pub in town, nice burgers/beers and very dog friendly.
Great Aparmtnt in a very good location in bishops Stortford. easy access to the shops and airport.
It has all the amnesties one need and free car parking space too which was ideal for me.
but above all owner was very accommodating and helped me out with a few times of modifications to my booking
Very small room absolutely no one to look after, no attendant for any support, for example we were shocked to see no hot water in bath rooms, we had to chase customer care for 4 hours for hot water in bathrooms, that too was switched on for 1 hour only.
Hotel is in jungle
It is a wonderful little place to stay. It is very special with all the cars around that you can have a look at. Amazing to think the owners made all of it themselves. The breakfast area is so much fun! I wish I could have stayed longer.
Was having a night out in Bishops Stortford and needed somewhere to stay. Jolly Brewers perfect. Easy to book, room ready on arrival. Set of cabins next to the pub. Quiet, clean and well presented. Will definitely use it again
My wife is a former Director level hotelier. Made significant efforts in ensuring we had a spacious room. Gave a us a broom cupboard. Bar staff later at night offered poor and disgruntled service.
The host took me to the local train station the morning I left, free of charge. This was not something we discussed upon booking so it was a very nice gesture which sure saved time and energy.
+ Super clean and smelled great!
+ Spacious
+ All basic kitchen utensils are present
+ Nice, neutral interior
+ No loud neighbors
+ Hour drive from London City
