Not crowded, nice little shops ....Beer just has a nice "feel" to it...loved the beach and might have swum (looked quite safe) but it was tioo windy and cold. Everyone (especiallyat Bay View) friendly. Quiet at night. Gina's restaurant very good.

Beer is just gorgeous.
Beer is just gorgeous. Something for everyone, walk the coastal path, a pebble beach to skim stones, a playground with an amazing view of Beer beach, a quintessential unspoilt fishing village with a variety of lovely shops, gifts, clothes, art, a wine bar and a few pubs too. Most recently in October I drank at The Anchor and ate at Gina’s - the pizza was great, the atmosphere buzzing and the owner so helpful and considerate. Been visiting for over 20 years so it must be doing something right!

Beer is a quaint village with a beautiful unspoilt beach, used by the local fishermen. You can buy fish direct from them by the beach. You can hire deckchairs and beach huts at very reasonable rates and there are 3 cafes actually on the beach. The village is very picturesque and has a small assortment of shops and eateries and two branches of an excellent gallery, selling glass, ceramics and paintings, by both local and nationally known artists. There are several cliff top footpaths.

A very quaint and pretty tiny town.
A very quaint and pretty tiny town. A must for walkers and lovers of coastal paths and rugged scenery. It is steep in places, so would be difficult in places for the infirm. There are buses to Seaton and to Branscombe both great places to visit.

Helpful owners with terrific communication & spot on guide for our (late) self check in. Superb location. The property was spotlessly clean, bright & so tastefully reflected both the Beer fleet & beach as well as the arts for which this area is now so well known. Lovely room and a superb breakfast catered to our specific needs.
The location of the property is on the edge of the village of Beer. The village is delightful and worth a visit. The facilities in the property were good especially in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of seating areas downstairs. Local shop/newsagent 2 mins away. The garden is tiny and paved with one seating bench.
In a great location, very clean, good choice of breakfast and host was fabulous in recommending restaurants and local activities. The pre info (parking, bringing cash etc) from the Hotel was also very appreciated. We would definitely stay again if in Beer. The fridge and fan in the room were also great.
Beer is a fabulous place to stay and the property is well appointed and in a great location if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle (but not too far). Hosts were great to deal with and they’ve thought of everything to make your stay a comfortable one. Best bathroom we’ve had in England!
We loved Colebrooke House and Beer! Such a beautiful little seaside town and our room had a lovely view up the hill and was spotless, also had a kettle and tea coffee/biscuits. Dave was an friendly host, definitely would come back.
Apartment was welcoming and had everything we needed. Very clean. Very close to a couple of great restaurants and bakeries. A short walk to the beach area at Beer and view of the stunning white chalk cliffs. We had a lovely stay.
Very friendly couple running the hotel - and great breakfast. We were in the smallest room with a separate toilet - which is fine for a short stay and a bargain compared to nearby hotels. Perfect location for a look around Beer.
Superb location, very close to the Beer beach, easy access to the Coastal path for walks.
Pretty house, nice decorations, very spacey and comfortable throughout, especially comfortable beds. Spotlessly cleaned!
It's good to go back to a hotel where you see the same staff, tells you it's a good place to work as well as stay. It's a comfy, cozy hotel where every room has a sea view where you can sit and watch the waves.
we liked the look of the property, the position and the surroundings.having never been to the hotel or to beer before. both were beautiful and would definitely recommend both, and for sure we'll be back.
This is a lovely hotel on the central street of Beer only a few steps away from the beach. The room was spacious and very clean. Helpful staff, free parking, tasty and fresh breakfast
The Hotel has a great position. The Breakfast was very good and the whole place was very warm (I went in late November). Value for money and clean. Staff very helpful.
Location, history of the hotel in Beer with the photos etc really lovely.
Great to have function rooms. Will be looking at arranging something here next year.
Friendly and welcoming host who went above and beyond! Lovely room, excellent shower and nice garden seating area. Close to Beer stores and local eatery.
