The Tudor House Hotel, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, hotel in Beckford

With a rich and vibrant history, the riverside town of Tewkesbury boasts stunning scenery, including almost 400 listed buildings and an elegant 900-year-old Abbey.

Lovely room in an historic property fronting Tewkesbury High Street and backing on to Shakespeare's Avon. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and both my breakfasts were perfection. Only wish I could have stayed longer than my two nights. Thank you Tudor House Hotel - Diolch yn fawr

Room was very good size, but considering so big we cldnt understand why no superking bed. Lighting in the room needs sorting, only one bedside lamp and 2 out of 3 ceiling lightbulbs not working. Otherwise it was a v pleasant room. Staff were great.

Background music in the bar was intrusive in our bedroom and disturbing. Given the restaurant and bar were quite busy I doubt anyone down there realised it was on. Perhaps consider not having it on? For the second time in a week at a Buttcombe Inn there was an error with our bill.

Amazing modern room, great facilities. Food for breakfast outstanding with local produce, great choice as well but I stuck with full english after tasting the sausage! Menu's were extensive and dinner menu also excellent, great choice, well cooked and super friendly staff. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

A gem of a boutique hotel.

A gem of a boutique hotel. It attracted us because it took dogs and served fresh fish. This Inn pressed all the right buttons and was well located for Tewkesbury, Broadway in the Cotswolds & the local village. As a consequence of our stay we will be using other Butcombe Inns in the near future, and if we get the right price we will stop at the Beckford Inn again when we next travel from Yorkshire to Bridport
