A warm welcome and very convenient for Chatsworth House. The room was comfortable if a little on the small side.

Lovely location with beautiful views of the village. Excellent tea and coffee facilities, especially having the fridge for milk downstairs. The card, biscuits and chocolates were a sweet touch, having said we were on our honeymoon!
The bathroom was amazing with so much space, and I liked the bottles of shower gel/shampoo instead of the small ones.
The breakfast was superb with yummy continental and cooked options. The dinner on our first night was also delicious!
We’d wanted to have a couple of nights of luxury and they certainly delivered: we definitely want to come back!

Cleanliness and everything we needed was there. The bed was extremely comfortable too! It was right on the doorstep to Chatsworth Park and in such a quiet and safe location location. A short walk away were hotels and pubs for food and drink. It was such a lovely place to stay.

Very good range of gluten free options for dinner. Portions are generous. Staff were all knowledgeable regarding a coeliac diet and very friendly. We'd ask for a room with a countryside view next time we stayed.

We would have liked to have had our evening meal there but the choices for meat free were poor tbh so all 4 of us went to the Italian down the road.

Baslow is a fab place.
Baslow is a fab place. It has lots to offer, including The Cavendish Hotel, which is amazing! There are lots of places to eat, with a variety of styles. It is easy to get round Baslow. I don't need to avoid anything in Baslow, it's got everything I like.

A pretty village with a couple of independent shops, restaurants and pubs (can highly recommend the food at the Prince of Wales.) The main attraction is Chatsworth though which is fabulous and never disappoints!
Beautiful little cottage tastefully decorated and had everything that you could possibly need. A lot of thought and care had obviously gone into preparing this property for guests. The bed was so comfortable and it was lovely to wake up in such beautiful surroundings. As it was dog friendly there was a dog and water bowl dog towel and even some poo bags!!
The whole place was spotlessly clean and tidy.
Perfect location to explore the Derbyshire Dales in a lovely little village. Lovely pubs which did great food literally a stones throw away!!
Lovely room with a comfy bed, modern updated bathroom with one of the best hotel showers I have ever had. The room was spacious and decorated so nice! It felt cozy and luxurious. We loved the breakfast. You could tell it was made with love. Bonus that the food was all sourced from local farms in the area. Such an amazing value for a really unique experience. The property manager was kind, helpful, and check-in/ out was so easy! The property was in close proximity to Chatsworth house. Must stay location in the Peak District.
The lodge was beautiful, it felt like it had been done to a very high standard and had so many lovely additional touches. The kitchen was well equipped, there was a radio and Bob Marley CD, there were games and DVDs, temple spa toiletries, nice jams and biscuits and a beautiful enclosed outdoor area (more enclosed than the pictures suggests). There was so many nice places nearby to eat and drink and amazing walks within a stone's throw, it was perfect.
Beautiful location, a short stroll from Chatsworth House and a 4 mile walk to Bakewell. An uphill walk to Baslow Edge and the Eagle Stone, a nice circular walk to Grindleford. Three lovely pubs close by. The cottage is spacious with a lovely bath and a great place to sit beside the river with a morning tea. Hosts were great let us park early and brought us milk and bakewell tarts !
Myself, my husband and 6mo old son had a great stay! The lodge is really well set up and comfy, and has everything you'd need. It's in a very convenient spot and there are some lovely pubs, walks and farm shops nearby. The communication with the host was great - very friendly and provided useful tips, and very easy to follow instructions to get into the property. Would recommend!
The location was wonderful with fabulous views over Chatsworth Park and the roaming deer. Only a short (and very scenic) walk to Chatsworth House and to the pubs/restaurants in Baslow.
Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable.
Fantastic breakfast and lovely staff- I would highly recommend to anyone looking to spend a short break in the beautiful Peak District!
What really made our stay memorable was the quality of the food served at dinner. Thanks to the chefs Joe and Danny. The menu was unusual and exceeded our expectations at a fair cost.
The staff in the bar was friendly and it had a nice vibe.
Additionally, it was a nice touch to be given birthday Processco and the complimentary local beers.
Easily accessible location in nicely renovated farmhouse on the edge of the Derbyshire Dales with quick access to Sheffield and the peak district. Lovely room, with equally lovely shared bath (except there were not allowing it to be shared due to Coronavirus, so we had to ourselves). Lovely homemade snacks, tea and coffee left for us in the room.
This is an exquisite hotel, located near Chatsworth.......you feel like nobility, after visiting Chatsworth and then staying here! It was a superb experience to do both. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff treat you like visiting royalty! We had dinner in the garden room and loved it.
Lovely location, the village was lovely with pubs, restaurants and a co-op very close by and near Chatsworth. Baslow Edge and Curbar Edge were within walking distance from the appartment too. Good comfortable accomodation with most of the things we needed.
Everything,it was in a ideal location for our visit to haddon hall, our stay at the wheatshef in baslow was excellent, the facilities were very good the room was very good, the food was outstanding and the staff were amazing.would definitely stay here again.
Super clean, super comfy, quite luxurious, breakfast was unreal. We had their Derbyshire oatcakes with full Derbyshire breakfast, and it was served to our room on request, so we could eat on our terrace. Owners super friendly. 100% recommended
Everything was just as we expected. A delightful hotel in a beautiful part of Derbyshire. Would thoroughly recommend it to friends. Its proximity to Chatsworth House made it even more special. would certainly go again.
