The team running The Bell Inn were absolutely brilliant, all incredibly pleasant and easy going individuals knowing when to converse and when to leave you be.
Likewise, the rooms are spacious and airy with lovely décor, the bedding was spot on as was the rest of the room and available amenities.
Food quality night and day was great, with a lovely restaurant setting with deals on dinner throughout the week.
Location is spot on, being just 5 mins from the M27 you have all the benefits of being able to flit about the area quickly with very little compromise on basal noise levels. Noise is a non issue at this property as the layout and décor seems to soak a lot of it up.
Should you choose this hotel, no doubt it will pleasantly add to your experience and make it more memorable.
Highly recommend.

It was a really wunderfull place from which we could visit all the spots at the amazing National Park New Forest. Hostess Linda was very kind, helpfull and she even took care of some breakfast for us.
Next to the beautiful site it is very comfortable and complete.
We certainly come back here!
Don’t forget to visit Beaulieu, Lyndhurst and the beautiful Bucklers Hard. There is a nice pub and good food!

Bartley is a lovely peaceful place set in the new forest with horses and cows that can roam free and to see deers and there fawns if you are lucky a local shop and post office we ate in the Haywaire The food wasn't great so I wouldn't recommend it close to lyndhurst shops and Bartley is great to walk around and to explore and take in the breath taken views
A very nice hotel on the edge the forrest I could walk my dog out of the garden into the forrest, with all the wild life
deer and horses close by, the dinner and breakfast were excellent, and the staff were very helpful and friendly also the
room was very clean and a lovely on-suite shower and tiolet, the room looked like it had ont long been decorated
The staff were all very friendly and smiled all the time, they were happy to answer questions and help with any queries. The bed was very comfortable and our room had all the facilities we needed. Location was excellent as able to get to places around the New Forest easily, you could also walk directly into the forest from the hotel grounds.
Excellent location for exploring the New Forest. Lovely independent hotel with a nice room with everything you need. Very dog friendly. Room included dog towel abs blanket for use (and return) and dog biscuit. Dogs allowed in 2 of the 3 dining areas and even dog cushions provided.
Breakfast good quality and tasty and service good.
The hotel is in a nice setting and has potential. Room was Ok although my mothers room was very cold (the word she used was "arctic"). When we asked about the heating which only came on at 8am (seems very late) she was offered a small electric heater. I also heard other guests mention their heating was not on in their room.
The hotel is right at the edge of the New Forest and got access to it through a gate at the back of the hotel garden. We were lucky to see the New Forest ponies not very far from the gate. There is hardly any light pollution so on a clear night you can see all the stars. The staff was very friendly.
The hotel was located in a very beautiful area, our room was large and very pleasent, we did not use the restaurant, but from what we saw, it looked very good. Lots of local horses about and lots of nice walks.
Good value for money for a large suite for 4 people and a large and good quality breakfast. Walks in the forest through the hotel garden gate. The evening meal was excellent.
