We travelled out of Sheffield to find a reasonable price. eg, A travelodge was £39 for the Sunday night and would have cost £131 for the Monday night. Not a fair pricing for family travel to attend a funeral.
Surrounded by 55 acres of breathtaking woodland, this 18th century property combines stylish contemporary design with beautiful original features and period charm.

Staff were great and breakfast of champions, Went for a run around the village and neighbouring village scenery was lovely. Had a drive into Chesterfield to see the Spire and had a fantastic meal ad Odyssey Greek Restaurant.

I went to see Cresswell Craggs, about 15 minutes away. This is so far the only place in the UK where you can see Paleolithic rock art - not quite Lascaux or Altamira yet but future excavations may find more examples. Nice museum/shop with good cafe and a fine day out. Lovely scenery.

Ordered vegetarian breakfast but no available the second day as no one had let the kitchen know.
Really awful was the wagons parked up within 30 feet of the window that kept their engines running for hours. No sleep till they left.

Superb stopover location with easy access to M1- the accommodation was as expected clean affordable efficiency with no formalities with welcoming staff and greet bar area to "chill out" after a long journey.
Surrounded by a choice of eateries within walking distance makes for relaxed stopover or break
The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The bed was very comfy and the room clean. Great for a one night stay. We had the room with a private bathroom. This wasn't an issue at all there were other guests staying we didn't hear or see them upstairs at any point. Infact we only knew about them at breakfast. We were a little later going for breakfast but nothing was too much trouble and it was a better breakfast than the 5 star hotel I had stayed at the previous week for work!
The reception requires upgrading. Generally, as you enter, the hotel looks tired and presents itself as mediocre. The carpets require replacing. Having said so, the staff are hard working to no real compliment from the business. I suppose the poor standards are a reflection of the hotel owners than the staff.
((Male Night staff member was so kind caring and went above and beyond to help us when we arrived to the hotel after a friends wedding we attended.))
Location is good and easy to access. Rooms - standard just what we needed for the night.
Nice hotel for a one-night stay. Stayed for a nearby wedding, easy to park, just off the M1 junction. Decent breakfast and clean room. Very quick to check in and out (handy for checking in as we were running a little late!)
For the money was very disappointed as room wasn’t very clean aswell as an extra charge for a poor breakfast and a family member booked in at hotel on the night last minute and paid a lot less for family room.
Spacious room. Decent breakfast menu . Good professional staff. Very clean hotel overall. Close to McDonald's kfc and has a good selection of takeaways/delivery on just eat ( including some halal restaurants).
Have used this hotel many times about seven to date, because it has good parking for our motorcycles /the rooms are comfy and the breakfast is always good.
