nice hotel/b&b but not as nice as i thought it would be, the photos are a bit deceiving of its size! staff were pleasant enough and continental breakfast was ok but was a very much a serve yourself theme going on! location is good for the harbour/seafront although there isn't much to see/explore in what is an essentially rundown old seaside town!

Just a perfect place for a guy like me! I'm sure anybody would feel right at home here. I had the single room with a balcony and a picturesque seaside view!
I started every morning with an incredible breakfast and because of the ideal location was minutes walking distance to any and everything I could possibly need.
I highly recommend the Cairn Bay Lodge to everyone who wants to experience Bangor at its best!

We bring our own food . We are bit awkward we didn’t realise that we shared some guest in the apartment, and we have child so excited and make noise. Rooms are explicit but for my suggestion maybe an extra pillow or blanket keep in the room as a reserve.

Lovely people, very comfortable, perfect for one night. Nice continental breakfast with decent ground coffee for the cafetière.
Situated in an elevated position overlooking the marina, this well reputed and respected guest house occupies a superb setting in the seaside resort of Bangor, County Down.
The town is very cosy, compact and full of sights.
The town is very cosy, compact and full of sights. You feel absolutely home, greeted by every passer by (and a doggy). Very clean, sea and rich greenery everywhere, perfect transport around, even a marvelous English (ESOL) school "Moving on center"! We enjoyed every minute there, though initially didn't plan staying there at all.

Beautiful little town right on the water.
Beautiful little town right on the water. Very walkable with great restaurants and coffee shops. Not much in the way of shops but we were ok with that. People were very friendly and looked like they love their town. Very close to Belfast so if you’re there for the city it was a great place to stay and rela without being in the hustle of the city. I would definitely go back and next time stay longer!

We have alot of kids mainly older teens and young adults who looked after our 2 very young children at home so me and my husband could have a night away to ourselves I would have loved to have stayed another few nights but we all have work and so do the older children ..... The reason we would have loved another few nights was so we could go exploring there are so many places to go walking around the edge of the water also the trains are very regular so you could have went into Belfast or somewhere half hour away then came back to Bangor to escape the noise of the city there are so many wonderful restaurants to choose from to eat at also ..... We went to a mexican place around the corner from where we stayed for lunch portion sizes were huge and it tasted amazing for dinner we went to a place called Oregano I think .... It's up near the train station and it has thee best spaghetti carbonara I've ever had in my life

Bangor is a traditional seaside town with all the amenities you would expect. The people were all very welcoming to us (English visitors). We hope to visit again in better weather. We had a bit of sunshine during our (March) trip but also rain and cold wind. There are also some other pretty little villages not far away down the coast and along nearby Strangford Lough. Travel to and from Belfast is easy by car or train.

Pleasant seaside town with attractive marina and a good range of shops. Parking seems to be easy (albeit I was there off season) and free. Some bits of town very run down, like many resorts, but mostly quite nice and has been improved. Very handy for city airport and transport links to Belfast are good.

I was only there for one night so it would be unfair to comment too much but it was friendly as I went for an evening walk. Like many seaside towns, its tired in places but there looks as if there is plenty of good about Bangor.
The property was clean, spacious and fitted out well with everything we could need. We didn’t cook at the property but everything was there if we’d wanted to. The location was fab for us as we were staying there to be near family and had a car. A car is always handy. Owners were on hand to give any help, recommendations of where to visit and were very quick to come round and help us switch on the heating when we’re were struggling.Even gave us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience.
The room was very comfortable; and well heated when we arrived; the bathroom was outstanding, large size in size, a separate tub & shower, a seat in the room, really nice! The WiFi was strong, along with several USB ports available and great TV options. Great breakfast options, delicious, served hot , freshly prepared. Paul our host was very inviting, great conversationalist, very helpful in educating us with how best to navigate around the country.
Absolutely brilliant. The staff were helpful and friendly, always ready with a smile. The breakfast hearty and delicious. The rooms, while slightly dated, were absolutely lovely and comfortable. It was my MIL's first hotel stay and she couldn't have loved it more. The views of the sea from her room were to die for. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back again for another stay!
This hotel is immaculately clean and tidy, it is honestly the best hotel I ever stayed in. The location is lovely and the sea views are amazing, really close to the town centre and all the amenities. Julie made us right at home and showed us around the place and kept us in the best craic. There's a lovely little bar, a lift to the rooms and breakfast included.
Felt like a boutique hotel. Super clean, comfy and the best coffee making facilities ever ! Wish my house was as lovely as this gem. Dont hesitate to book this place. The host was super welcoming and left us fresh milk and snacks on arrival. The beds are proper comfy too. I'd recommend to anyone.
I couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Sonia and her team were cheerful, helpful and very professional. The Power Porridge breakfast was delicious and the hotel was spotless. I would highly recommend the Princetown Guesthouse to anyone.
Prime location in Bangor. Lovely hotel in lovely town. Excellent bar, amazing breakfast. Reception staff Ladies and Gentleman working at the bar and as night porter are wonderful. Truly hospitable place.
we liked the location of the property as we were only a short walk away from the center of Bangor town center and a short drive from some of the tourist destinations.
It’s beautiful Victorian House 🏡
I felt safe and private at the same time.
Owners of hotel were super helpful and nice people .
Truly love my safe at hotel .
The location near the marina was a bonus and parking was good but not too many spaces
There might be available to park on the street but not sure of it was free
