Everything. We were greeted by Cindy who made us very welcome and couldn’t do enough to make sure we were comfortable. The house and garden are beautiful. We were very well fed from tea and scone when we arrived to an enormous tasty breakfast - with the best hash browns!

Very nice room on the side of the pub, lots of thoughts on little extras, extremely clean and tidy
The lady on the front desk was great, very helpful.
The lady on the front desk was great, very helpful. Spare sofa bed wasn't made up, there were stains on it so she gave us extra bedding to cover it. We made do. Although we wanted to walk out but at late notice, I would have lost money and trying to get a Premier Inn late notice would have been hard.
The whole place should be updated and painted at least to make it look modern and welcoming to guests. Open windows before guests arrive to take the musty smell out as well.
Breakfast was just about ok but could do with a small canteen instead of having breakfast near the entrance.
Won't be staying here again, very disappointed.

Makes an excellent base for exploring round about Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. There are excellent aircraft museums within easy reach, but those weekends with air displays can lead to congestion on the access roads near Duxford.

My daughter and I stayed for 1 night in this lovely B&B, host very welcoming, despite us arriving late in the day, we stayed in a cosy twin room, with fantastic garden view, no en-suite but private bathroom opposite our room, didn’t find this to be a problem.
Breakfast was very good,( and gluten free provided )cooked to order, we ate way too much!
It was a pity we could only stay for 1 night, but hopefully can stay again in the future.
Struggling to find anything we didn’t like.
Thank you

The hotel is not in a neighbourhood.
The hotel is not in a neighbourhood. It's an isolated stop right on the A1 next to a nice resturant. Useful for travelling and near several market towns in North Herts, all of which are pleasant with lots of restaurants cafes and shops.

Had a few problems before my visit, but was put right by june- Thank you. The bathroom absolutely stank of stale cigarette smoke. I would have said this was a smoking room! The toilet refused to flush. Brought these to the attention of June. Slept well, just shame about the bathroom. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel. Good for a one night stop.
Cindy is an exceptional host and we were immediately made to feel very welcome. The house is in a pleasant and quiet rural location close to small and characterful villages but with ready access to the A1 and with the small town of Baldock 10 minutes drive away. The rooms are spacious, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is excellent: beautifully presented and cooked and very substantial and served in a light and airy room. Secure and easy car parking by the house. We will definitely visit again.
I booked 10 rooms for a wedding. All rooms were acceptable with regard to cleanliness but could do with updating. Beds are reasonably comfortable although our mattress was very soft. Great shower. The receptionist Chantelle was very professional and extremely helpful. Breakfast is continental with cereals and toast although we all went to coteys which is next door and had an excellent full English. Hotel is in a really good location for an overnight stay
I was a little bit confused as to why there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. It was only when checking the drawers to make sure we had all our belongings, that we found said facilities hidden in a drawer. Maybe the check-in desk could inform people who had never used the hotel before, where the facilities are when we arrive.
