I loved the layout. Seperate chalet type rooms. Had my own parking spot right outside the door. Great hosts. Great atmosphere. Lovely food.

What a lovely little break we had at The Miners Arms!
The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. The room was fresh and clean and stocked up with, tea, coffee, biscuits and soft drinks. There was also a basket of hygiene supplies in the bathroom which was an added bonus.
Included in the price was a lovely breakfast that consisted of a choice of cereals, fresh milk, orange juice, a choice of hot drinks and then a cooked breakfast to follow. The first day I chose a sausage bap whilst my wife had toast and the next day we opted for a lovely Full English.
In the evening we were welcomed by the locals to join in with the monthly, fun pub quiz and a game of Sticky 13's, a card game that resembles Bingo (which I was fortunate to win a round).
Our absolute favourite part though was, meeting the resident dog, the gorgeous Ronnie. He was kind enough to let us take him for a walk and showed us all round the local village.
Many thanks to Trevor and Julie, for making us feel so welcome. This is one of the friendliest places we have been fortunate to stay at and we will definitely return.

This accommodation provides you with good access to Chatsworth House & Hardwick Hall with their beautiful gardens, there were others we wanted to see but not enough time this trip. From the back of the hotel, you can access the Tissington trail for cycling along with hiking using the many footpaths within the area. In addition to this trail we also completed the Monsal trail starting in Bakewell, both trails are well maintained and have excellent views, cycle hire and cafes along their routes.
Manifold and Dovedale provide beautiful waterside walks and are both very close to the apartments. We will be back in the area soon as there is so much more to explore.
