We had a wonderful stay! The secure garden was a fantastic feature, and our dog absolutely loved exploring all the new scents. The kitchen was impressively well-equipped, with everything we could possibly need. The property itself was incredibly spacious, and the bedrooms were comfortably large, which made for a very relaxing experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a dog-friendly retreat with all the comforts of home!

Central and plenty of room very clean lovely Welsh cakes and very thoughtfully stocked and laid out with toiletries and cleaning products
Absolutely stunning. Outstanding hosts, warm and friendly offering us tips on hiking trails and even lent us a spare backpack to take on our hikes when we forgot ours. Couldn’t do more for us, they were great. Beautiful location the barn is well equipped with everything you need. We stayed in the top bedroom on night 1 which was lovely and quiet, but might be a little too low and tight for bigger guests. We loved it. Definitely will return. Thanks both xx

Very interesting mining history of the town.
Very interesting mining history of the town. Nearby Mining exhibition Big Pit and the museum in Bleanavon is highly recommended. As well as the Iron works exhibition. Ideally located to drive to Cardiff, Coch and Cearphilly Castle and Caerleon.

It's a beautiful area of the country, many rural churches to visit, as well as Dore Abbey and Llanthony Priory. St Mary's in Abergavenny has an extraordinary 15thC sculpture of Jesse under the tree of life, carved from one oak trunk. Lots of amazing walks too.

Attended a wedding at Pool farm an amazing location with wonderful views and walks.
Local Taxi service Terry,s was exceptional during drop off and pick up both drivers were very friendly and informative of the area.
The plan is to revisit again to take up the opportunity of exploring the many castles and places of interest including walking, climbing & cycling in the not too distant future. First visit met high expectations looking forward to planning return visit. Thank you Abergavenny next time will take photos.

The scenery round about is lovely; it reminded me of trips to Dartmoor when I was a child. I had the unpleasantness of it raining for many, many hours on my way to Abergavenny and through my night there.

We've been visiting Abergavenny for years and it's always been a warm, friendly place. Sadly some of the big retailers have moved on, but there are still the very useful mountain/outdoor shops you need, plus major supermarkets, and a new generation of independent retailers too. More eateries have sprung up, including some very indulgent patisserie shops!
The castle is well worth visiting, and there are some self-guided local walks you can find in leaflets that will help you find your way round the town to enjoy its many green spaces. Linda Vista Garden is beautiful and well worth visiting, especially for the brilliant Ambika Social cafe in its grounds - amazing coffee! Ambika is open Thurs - Sun, and also on Bank Holiday Mondays.
The theatre offers a varied programme, and you can usually find a tribute show or two on offer.
Aber is in easy reach of the Brecon Beacons, and Big Pit (Blaenavon) is close by too and well worth visiting.

Excellent location right in the centre of town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room is a little small but perfectly functional. We stayed on one of the warmest weekends of the year so the room was hot, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. We had an inside room (with no view) on the first floor but it was very considering the noise in the bar directly downstairs.
We were expecting a basic pub hotel at best, but we were pleasantly surprised.
Lovely bright,homely accommodation
Everything you could possibly need and more ( loads of toiletries and cleaning products if required)
Super touches of milk, Welsh cakes, biscuits, and even fresh flowers 💐- Thank you
Lovely quirky touches all around the cottage.
Spotlessly clean and really comfortable.
Easy walking distance from wonderful town centre loads of cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops ( 5 mins or maybe even less)
Everything. The hotel was quaint. Open fires trestle tables and pew type wooden seating.
The breakfast was exceptional. All local Welsh produce. Excellent coffee which I was advised came from Bridgend in South Wales. Homemade bread and jams. Loved it.
The bedroom was so cottagey. Comfy bed. Great choice of teas and coffees and chocolates.
The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a large and clean private bathroom. The area was very quiet, and at just 20 minutes walking distance from the town centre. The hosts were very nice and kind. I would totally recommend.
