The Pashmina is absolutely excellent. It is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. We had a deluxe XXL room with 2 bedrooms and a central lounge, which worked wonderfully for our family. We also had our own harman, which was a hit after a day's skiing.

It’s a perfect ski resort. Great for skiing and a great night life and food. We particularly enjoyed meeting our friends most days at the Igloo de Val Thorens . The actual igloo is a must see and very friendly English people who speak French. The perfect place for light lunch or just a drink with a great view of the slopes
We loved getting the piste basher in the evening which took us to a restaurant on the slopes
Chalet du lac With a set menu
You need to book in advance asap
Tango is great for a sit down meal or a relaxing pizza with friends on the sofas .

A ski resort that caters to both experienced and inexperienced skiers (such as myself). The ESF (Ecole du Ski Français) has very experienced and professional instructors. The sheer number of pistes and the pristine conditions are a sight to behold. There are numerous options for après-ski, catering to all tastes and budgets while maintaining an excellent atmosphere. Val Thorens makes you feel secure and at ease.

Most (if not all) of the hotel (Le Val Chaviere) rooms have view to mountains and ski sloaps.
Access to ski area and lifts is literally direct as you exit the hotel ski room you put on skiis and go directly to lifts and cable cars.
Hotel is very close to city center (5min walking distance).
The ski resort is immense with many options of activities for non skiers - sled and/or tube tracks, zip line (need to see age and security restrictions).
A good option is also the sports center with many indoor activities including swimming pool, sauna and relaxing wellness options.
City has plenty of restaurants and small supermarkets.
Some of the mountain tops are accessible for
Pedestrians - so you can enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Val Thorens is a very busy resort.
Val Thorens is a very busy resort. There are a lot of beginners and Uni students, making it a popular resort. The slopes closer to the bottom are very busy as a result. But skiing over to Meribel and Courcheval is so easy and is quite a bit quieter.

As any regular skier or snowboarder will know, Val Thorens is one of the highest resorts in the Alps as it's located at 2,300m and therefore a reliable destination if you're looking for snow. It has lots of energy as it's frequented by younger skiers and is good value for money!

Excellent skiing town with a lot of lifts taking skiers up...
Excellent skiing town with a lot of lifts taking skiers up the mountain quickly. It is at a higher elevation comparing to other neighboring skiing towns in Les 3 Valles. It yielded less icy spots on the trails even though we did not have new snow during our stays of 7 days.
We ate at an on-mountain restaurant at the base of VT21 and VT23 lifts. It has sit-down foods or self-service foods. The foods were great, and the ambient was very nice.
There are free in-town shuttles running every 20 minutes. It is very convenient if you need to go from one end of the town to another end. Otherwise it is not difficult to walk. There are many shops and restaurants in the town. Very convenient.
The hotel is gorgeous, with an incredible ski-in/ski-out location and tremendous views. The common interior spaces are really well designed and very comfortable, the food (particularly the breakfast) was fantastic, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, particularly when it came to making reservations in town and shuttling us back and forth. Also, the treatments at the spa were amazing - the exfoliating massage in particular was one of the best massages I've ever had.
The hotel's location allows for ski-in and ski-out. Very nice.
The hotel fee included breakfast and dinner. The hotel's restaurant did an excellent job in serving meals.
The sauna room was nice. The hotel room felt old, but it was clean and nicely arranged. I didn't feel like I was crammed in a small hotel room. The pillows and bed were very comfortable.
It was easy to walk from the hotel to the town.
All of the hotel's staffs were very friendly and helpful.
Great location on the slope, with an excellent shuttle service if needed. The Hotel is quite new, well maintained and clean. Excellent facilities, good restaurant and the most friendly staff. It also includes a rental shop for ski’s. If I go back to Val Thorens I will definitely be going again to this amazing hotel.
Super clean and cosy hotel, with a lovely restaurant featuring great imaginative food, excellent breakfast with many options, a super relaxing spa area. Rooms are compact and beautifully appointed.
Most importantly the staff was super professional, always ready to help and make me a happy guest.
Fantastic location for skiing. You can start or end your ski trip within super close proximity of the hotel (<20 meters). The general area with bar and restaurant is really nice and cozy. Prices of food and drinks are affordable. Hotel has a nice vibe and super helpful staff.
Ski in and ski out hotel/apartment, good restaurant in the hotel, Irish Pub 100m up the road was better value for money than the bars around the centre. All the restaurants we went to were good and good value for money for the Alps. Val Thorens is definitely a skiers resort.
Location was perfect with amazing views directly off the balcony. The hosts were extremely responsive and we did not ever feel like we weren't tended to appropriately. The ability to ski in / out of the building was so great in the mornings to catch the first lifts.
Great hotel on the slopes. Amazing ski in/ out particularly for ski school. Breakfast was great and lovely staff. My kids had fun playing in the games room. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We had a great stay and would recommend it.
Perfect location, only a 3 minute walk to the supermarket, bars and restaurants. Loved that the hotel was ski in & ski out. Staff were so lovely and helpful, breakfast was so tasty. The spa was great after a long day of skiing.
This is not a hotel or apartment it is a school hostel. 200 school children were booking in as we arrived
The rooms are tiny old out dated and need attention . I’m sure the bed sheets were disposable ones
The location of the hotel is super, comfort in the room, spa at a high level. Wonderful, friendly and professional staff in the lounge bar. the guys in the ski service are excellent and good equipment
Lovely room overlooking the central square of Val Thorens, everything about the hotel was perfect, we didn't get to use the SPA as we were out skiing, the breakfast was lovely as was the bar area.
cheap and cheerful. clean room! Nice and warm. Tiny bath but we had a laugh! would definitely stay again for the price. Location was PERFECT. Ski in ski out
