Always a pleasure to stay here, especially when travelling South - though have been known to return same route North, as know to expect same high standard. Staff so warm, engaging and helpful. Rooms clean, and bedding immaculate .. bed very comfortable. Evening meal always delicious … and restaurant staff attentive and chatty, despite always busy as popular bistro location, too. Breakfast very good too. Perfect location re next door to large Auchan .. stock up on great range of Loire favs. Best to park at front of Hotel, if can. This time, my thanks in particular to Emmanuelle .. her support and assistance re a particular request I had .. I cannot thank her enough .. was greatly appreciated. First-class Customer Service!

Tours is a fantastic place to visit.

Tours is a fantastic place to visit. Plenty of amazing places to eat and walking and travelling around the city is great. We've been before and stayed outside of the main area and commuted by the trams. This time we stayed more central and found it was easy to walk from our accommodation to the heart of the city. We ate at a Brasserie just round the corner from Place Plumerau. Meal was brilliant and we had cocktails and wine. All very well priced at 68 euros for two. We went on after for a stroll around the shops and ended up at Place Plumeau where there were lots of people out enjoying drinks in the square - so we joined them!

I wasn't aware this was a college town, so it wasn't the ambiance I expected. Overall, the stay was good, and we stayed there to catch tours to the castles which were about an hour away. The small street train was a delightful tour of the town.

There are several historic sights in the Old Town starting with the beautiful train station. The Cathedral and Basilica are worth visiting. The long street of eateries had a wide variety to choose from due to the high student population. I was in the mood for Asian food and I found a Malaysian restaurant. But there were classical French restaurants and many other choices too. There's also a lovely place to sit and drink something on the Loire.

Relaxing town, but also very vibrant in the evening and at night. Has a lot of niche restaurants in and around different areas of the town. Fairly easy to navigate around the town, can always join a few tours that are available that show parts of the town you otherwise wouldnt have seen. Worst part of travelling is the ticket system, we got stuck on the other side of tours as we only got a one way ticket on the bus and they didnt have ticket machines at the bus stops away from the main ones. They should really change it to contactless. Botanical gardens was a pleasant experience, worth a visit at least once. A lot of gorgeous towns just outside of tours that are also worth checking out, Amboise being one of them. Has a beautiful chateaux and Da Vinci manor/gardens that are a must see.

Tours is a nice walkable city.

Tours is a nice walkable city. The 'old town' is picturesque and the more modern side has lots of shops. Lots of bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from. There are lots of tourist attractions including gthe cathedral of course. Also there is a large tourist office with helpful staff to help organise day trips to Chateaus etc. Transport links are very good with a station close to the city centre.

This is a true luxury hotel. The new rooms (which cater for dogs @20Euros) are large and have a kitchenette, the rooms in the chateau are large and full of character. The spa/pool complex is free and the gardens charming. The restaurant is working hard to re-gain the Michelin star that was lost when Crest took over. Tours centre is a 30 minute walk and is full of attractions. This is not a cheap place to stay but is worth every penny.

Lovely hotel near the city center of Tours: great location! Easily reachable by car, with a secured parking lot, and just a walk over the Loire to go to the city center. Owners and service are lovely, providing great information to get you around in the city, e.g. with a great list of interesting restaurants. That list is really worth checking!
