Strasbourg is a beautiful historical city. The transport system in the city is wonderful. I loved riding on the trams. The staff at the tourist office were very helpful. Reductions for being over 60 at museums. Wonderful artisan bread and cheese. Loved the Alsatian Pino Noir.

We used the map (1.50 euro) from the Strasbourg Tourist Office to do our own self-guided tour of the old town in the morning then did a 1h15 Batorama river cruise in an open-topped riverboat in the afternoon which was well worth the money (15.75 euro per person). You need to allow plenty of time to view the Strasbourg Cathedral of Notre-Dame both inside and out - the Astronomical Clock inside is a must see!

Strasbourg is clean, pedestrian friendly, with easy access to trains, buses and trams. We found it a bit confusing figuring out the transit system at first, but once done, they are great. We highly recommend the Modern Art Museum (and their cafe is lovely) and a visit to the European Parliament. The architecture in both is amazing.

We enjoyed seeing the city and walking the streets.
We enjoyed seeing the city and walking the streets. The atmosphere was very positive and joyful. You could buy interesting souvenirs. The food was variable and delicious. Lot of sweats and cakes everywhere. The sellers and staffs of sale centers tried to talk on English and it was very good since my french ability is weak. The public transportation was great. It could also be a tourist attraction.

Magical place wandering around Le petite france area.
Magical place wandering around Le petite france area. Highly recommend the tourist trains (there are two) which both go from either side of the cathedral. 45 mins each circuit. Informative and interesting. Do the one through Le Petite France first as it’s the best. The second one takes you more around the city through university area and past historical german/nazi areas. Make sure to wandering around Le Petite France on foot also though esp around the lock area by the tanners house.
This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was very cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was very rich, it had great coffee, fresh fruits and fresh baked bread. You also can walk around the premises of the hotel which is just stunning. It's quiet and in the middle of nature. I would recommend to go by car since it's a bit outside of the city center of Strasbourg, you have great parking opportunity at the hotel itself. We had a great experience over all and are looking forward to come again.
The room was very clean and stylish, and in a great location - only a short walk down to some great bars, bakeries and shops, and a lovely walk to Petite France. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. They happily turned on the sauna outside of the regular times for us, which is a great facility of the hotel, super luxurious and clean! The bathroom was also very clean and I loved the shower, and fluffy robes are always a plus! I would definitely stay at Hotel D again.
The hôtel is in a fabulous location with easy access to central Strasbourg, La Petite France and charming local businesses. The car parking coupons meant we could park reasonably cheaply near the hotel. If you were arriving by train, this would be even better because the hotel is just up the street from the central station. The room facilities were nice and the bed was comfortable and warm. We did not try the breakfast but it looked good.
Modern hotel at the center of Strasbourg. The lobby bar/restaurant was open and served local wines, appertifs and even mulled wine. Quite pleasant. The rooms were modern and efficiently laid out. Nice bathrooms and very comfortable beds. It was a 5 minute walk to Platz Kleber and Galleries Lafayette. 6 minutes to Petite France. Cathedral perhaps 8 minutes. The location was amazing and overall the staff were very helpful and professional.
I was travelling by bicycle and this hotel was right by the Eurovelo 5 cycle track along the river, and not far from the historic centre of Strasbourg. It was very easy to find. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The in-house restaurant, with its quiet outdoor patio in the rear yard, was my preferred dining option while in Strasbourg for three nights. A safe place was available for my bicycle on the ground floor of the hotel.
The Hotel Gutenberg was a wonderful hotel, just as expected from the booking. It was perfectly located to walk around the old town, and Petite France. The hotel staff was very helpful and very friendly! Although small, the room was nicely appointed and had everything we needed. Loved the breakfast! This is a compact hotel, but what more does one need beside a clean, comfortable room, great staff members, and a perfect location!
The hotel's location is perfect: close to everything you want to see, but far enough that street parties won't keep you awake, and very close to transportation. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very quiet. You'd never have known anyone else was staying there. The staff are wonderful: knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. A great place to stay in Strasbourg, but make sure you give yourself enough days to truly see the city!
Great location - a hotel with excellent facilities, a lot of character, and helpful staff.
Very near the centre, museums and Petite France.
Room and breakfast also good, with very flexible times, especially at the weekend.
Trams A & D from the main station stop only a few minutes' walk away - ideal really, Strasbourg is <2hr from Paris by TCV or ICE train.
the location was great. a 10 minute walk into the centre of Strasbourg along the river and through a park area. Excellent with a dog. Car park also was much closer to the hotel than was led to expect from the website. Also the photo on google maps is shocking and very outdated. It should be changed immediately. It nearly stopped me booking.
The location was excellent, in the historic center of Strasbourg. All the main public transport lines are located close to the hotel. Gare du Strasbourg is reachable by walking, 10 minutes. The hotel was clean and cosy. A little bit expensive, but I think a mix of the location and the period (christmas time).
We loved our time at the Pavillion Regent Petite France! The room, view, and location were perfect. The hotel was surrounded by lots of wonderful restaurants with views overlooking the river. Strolling the historic city center after a delicious dinner was a perfect ending to our days in Petite France.
This hotel is all around really great. There really isn't anything negative I would stay about my stay. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The location is terrific being right near the train station as well as many of the greay sites in Strasbourg. The hotel also has a cool aesthetic.
The hotel was located close to the attractions downtown. Bed was comfortable and bathroom/spa was marvelous. Close to Restaurants and a nearby Saturday Market was only a block away. Balcony overlooking Main Street was a pleasure. Will plan to stay here again when in Strasbourg.
Quality courtesy and strategic location (near petite france) to visit Strasbourg make this Hotel a guarantee. We had a great time and will recommend it because when you are on vacation it is right to indulge in the best. The spa is also very nice to relax after a day of walking.
The hotel is very pleasant, it has a nice design and is located at a distance of less than 5 minutes from the Gare Centrale and the city centre. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good wifi. There is also coffee and tea provided in the room plus a bottle of water.
Located in closest proximity to Gare de Strasbourg. Ideal for overnight stay when taking an early TGV to Paris Gare de l‘Est arriving there well before 9am. Restaurants and Strasbourg city center (Cathedral, la Petite France etc.) in walking distance.
Everything was wonderful, very clean and comfortable. It is a very nice hotel in a good location in Strasbourg (just one stop away from Gare and 3 stops to get close to Petite France). It is very good value for money. I highly recommend it.
Friendly staff and easy check in, water available, very cool traditional Alsatian building the hotel was in. Right on the border of the petite France area and the other shopping areas. Walkable to the cathedral as well.
The location was great - an easy flat 20 minutes cycle ride into Strasbourg centre petite France. The air conditioning was great in the 41 degrees heat that we had. It was clean and everything functional.
Great hotel, right next to Strasbourg station, cool design, comfortable beds, I never got round to checking it out but the bar on site looked really nice too, and the shower was really really comfortable.
