What can I say, this place is a gem. Right in the centre, lots of beautiful restaurants. The place it's self is in an old building but when u open the door it's very modern and spacious. We have stayed in Saverne several times as it is a convenient place to break the drive down to Southern France. It never disappoints, we have always been at Christmas time and the high street has wonderful decorations and Christmas lights. The Christmas market is fun and theres Vin chad and waffles, burgers etc and an ice rink for the children.
Nice C19th style central hotel, near to the station and the main streets and sights of Saverne (Chateau Rohan, Canal port), no hotel parking, but a parking area just across the street which is free outside working hours. Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms clean and comfortable. Saverne a good spot for stopping off the A4 Autoroute, only a couple of miles off, with good shops and a range of restaurants around the canal.
This apartment was such a comfortable place to stay. It felt so homely and welcoming. Sandrine was on time with meeting us and went to great lengths to communicate taking into account my bad French. Saverne is a lovely small town great for a short stay while we were cycling the canals. our bikes were safely stored. Our host treated us to refreshments and pretzels!
Stylish, quaint, easy walking to Saverne centre. Very large, comfortable,well equipped room with old fashioned furniture and huge bathroom. Excellent restaurant. Staff very welcoming and helpful.
The breakfast was delivered to our room and was good. The hotel is in a historic mansion high up the Haut Barr, and the view from our room was incredible.
